I see a lot of people talking about auto tune, but Jodeci has been using this effect since dropping in the 90's .... That's the Jodeci sound ... If u listen to their older music it sounds exactly like this !!! They didn't change a thing !!!! CLASSIC !!!!

They used a talk box, not auto tune. You got to actually know how to play keys to use a talk box. Auto tune is just a computer program for pitch correction.

Except on Jojo’s recent song “Special.” Errr recent as earlier this year. That’s straight up auto-tune. He sounds horrible in there compared to this album. Sucks cause his voice is great even after all these years but the auto tune kills it

All those doubters out there who said they re too drunk or cracked out need to sit their ass down! I knew JODECI still possesses their genius. Everybody goes through some things sometimes. Devante is the leader of the group and keeps it all together! I truly believe the album will be solid and vintage Jodeci with some new sounds as well.

Yup, they sure will. I don't think they would bother to come back if they didn't think they were capable. Is everyone Gonna like it???, NO. You can't please everybody. The track is solid even sounds like an old track but to me that's a damn good thing. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I understand where you're coming from. Jodeci was dope as hell. But everyone in the world seems to foget aboyt this brother who went by the name "Dino". I feel he is the best R&B vocalist. Now, HE was untouchable until he passed away in 03'. I wish he were alive. H-Town would be killing things man. For real. I like this Jodeci track though. Dondre' Jackson I'm saying! lol I read somewhere where where they said they talk to Stick too, (I hit him up on FB earlier) and he was telling somebody about in the studio or something when H-Town was doing "Part-TIme Lover" and Dino called K-Ci out. lol Wouldve loved to hear that. I try to find any H-Town videos, stories, songs. I KNOW they have unreleased stuff with Dino's voice on it. I'd pay to have those man. lol My older brothers covered Knockin Da boots when Dino died. Nowhere near the original version, but I'd be glad to share it. Tomorrow is the 12 year anniversary of Dino's death. Had Dino Never died, we'd have so much shit the past 12 years, man. He couldve done so many different things. I wish I couldve seen all three Members of H-Town live. King of R&B. lol and he doesnt get production credit or anything. Beast. R.I.P. Dino. I'd love to get in a studio with Devante and soak up some knowledge though. lol

When that pre-hook comes in, I thought it was 96 again! I'm grateful for these guys,they provided a great portion of the soundtrack to my life! Thank God for Jodeci! Glad to see them come on back...

I'm so in love with this track right here, not because its dope (which it is) but because it brings back the meaning of REAL R&B ... and for yall thats saying that they dont sound like the 90s Jodeci have a seat please (I'll wait). Its been 20+ years people, things happen and some things have changed.. Yall should be amazed that Kci still got his voice after everything that "so called" went on. Im proud of these men man and Im excited to buy my first ever Jodeci album that came out while I could really enjoy it!

The original R&B band is back.... bringing back all those summer feelings in the early 90's. The long wait is over and they sound as good as ever

One of the best things about DeVante's beats is that u keep on discovering/hearing new sounds each time u listen. A true musician, not a producer. Remember not only does he create the sound, he also arrange the way kci/jojo/dalvin sing. He has to be the greatest to do it, no doubt. In the year 2035 this will still sound just as good. And there still is an album to come at this months end...

This song is soooo good man JODECI BACK for real it got a 90s feel too. The harmonies tight and the melody/flow of the song is dope. Devante Swing and the Co-Producer Bradd H Young have been able to make this song current. I also played this song back 2 back with my heart belongs to you from Diary Of A Mad Band and I can definetly spot that 90s feel. K-ci sounds real good still got that soul in his voice and I think that is Jojo times have changed and his voice is not as silky and smooth as it used to be. Those of you that are saying this is not good have got to listen to this more than twice and don't come listening thinking its gonna be shit not even given it a chance because its dope! Growing up in a home where mom and dad were musically inclined I heard some of every kind of genre of music. When I got into my teens, jodeci was one of those groups who inspired me as a vocalist and musician. There were copy cats but none could match maybe they did it a little different but could not measure up to the talent. These cats used to have a gospel quartet group when they were teens, their voices are seasoned, glad to see them back on the scene to drop some of that real R&B!

Most of all, hope they are free of drugs n alcohol. The first three song are have gotten better and better. At this point Checkin For You has to be my favorite so far. Just can't wait to get my hands on the full CD. Hoping for platinum in the first week, hell maybe the first four days of release. This CD is long over due, but better late than never.I haven't bought a CD in years and I was still riding around in my car with the first 3 albums. Just great music!!!
