I suffered an injury that left me paralyzed from the neck down two years ago. Every day I fought darkness and doubt. Every night for several months I cried because I had lost everything even the job I loved. I've always been strong willed and determined. I have always been mentally strong but it was a challenge every day. Now I'm learning to walk again I'm getting physically stronger. My doctor and therapist are absolutely amazed of how much I have healed. I've been told by several therapist that I'm a freak of medical science and that I'm breaking all the rules by how much I have healed. I'm here to tell you never give up never stop fighting dark days will come and go. You have to dig deep inside and pull yourself out of that dark hole and push on. If I can do it anyone can ......you either get busy living or get busy dying.

I can resonate with you on a deep level man. Know that my intention is not to compare but simply to relate -- for three years I could only breathe a sip of air with each breath I took, and that put me in a dark place. Not being able to breathe 24/7 almost took me to insanity. And of course there's all the people you were taking care of and those you were planning to take care of. I could go on and on, but like you, I'm finally recovering through sheer determination and putting in work each day, and of course God's grace. Regardless, it's really great to hear you're coming back from this in every way possible. God bless Junior, take care of yourself.

Intelligence is nothing without will. 22 long hard years of inflicting mental torture on myself taught me that. I have learned countless things over my life, gained expertise in everything from bonsai to watchmaking and anything in between, and it made absolutely no tangible improvement in my life other than being very learned, which I wasn’t able to capitalize on because I had no strength of will to use those tools I had built.

Don’t manifest failure and shortcomings or catastrophise. Measure, value and recognise every increment of growth. Move. Loved the trade-off logic and emotion, how one can goad the other as one diminishes and lessens.

Changing life one step at a time. Can't stop, won't stop

I tore my knee and probably will be out the fight for awhile. But this right here got me getting right back after it! I WILL NOT GIVE UP!

These comments actually have inspired me, as I once again have hope for our survival. We still have some good people walking our streets, albeit, few and far between, but you are out there and I am honored to have read the comments, and truly thank you all. Jocko To be honest I had a had time listening to you at first. I have so many mental injuries that at one time ruled my life. It's been five year's now that I decided not to let this define who I am. First 3 year's suck learning all over again at 42 year's old. The last two years has been learning to embrace ,discipline ,no excuses = no lies and learn from my mistakes and adapt. Also thank you for your service and leading the way!

Nothing fires me up like Jocko. It's no nonsense truth.
