A jockey pump, also known as a pressure-maintenance pump, is a small apparatus that works together with a fire pump as part of a fire-protection sprinkler system. It is designed to keep the pressure in the system elevated to a specific level when the system is not in use, so that the fire pump doesn’t have to run all the time and the system doesn’t go off randomly. It can also help prevent the system from damage when a fire happens and water rushes into the pipes. These devices consist of a three-part assembly. In many places, there are governmental guidelines and recommendations for installing these devices to make sure they work properly.

Typically, the jockey pump's cut-in pressure is set at 90 psi (6.2 bar), while the cut-off pressure is set at 120 psi (8.27 bar).

Hi there , Why the jokey pump goes high pressure during day time from 11 am to 3 pm almost 20 bar ?? Design max pressure is 18 bar

A jockey pump going to high pressure during the daytime could be due to various reasons. Increased water demand: If there’s higher water usage during the day, the jockey pump may need to maintain a higher pressure to ensure an adequate water supply. System leaks: Small leaks in the system that might not be noticeable at night could become more pronounced during the day, causing the pump to work harder and raise pressure. Faulty pressure control valves or check valves can result in pressure spikes during the day. Pump control settings: Incorrect pump control settings or programming can lead to pressure variations at different times of the day. System design: The system’s design and capacity may not be optimized for daytime demands, leading to pressure fluctuations.

Valuable info , but the most important part for adjust the pressure switch you didn't explain , right for what function , left is for what function , and how to read and adjust the value you also didn't explain .

Sorry not to mention the function of adjusting screw for calibration, the video is intend to show only the basic calibration of this specific pressure switch that can be use on a fire pump system. calibration guide of different kinds of pressure switch will be uploaded separately. Thank you
