Joaquin was much more comfortable with Jimmy Fallon than with Jimmy Kimmel. Jimmy Fallon does a better job with going with Joaquin's flow and it was fun to watch Joaquin mess with Jimmy and Jimmy didn't take it too seriously in fact he was kind of in awe of him for how he messed with him which was cool. Joaquin looked like he had fun. The movie was absolutely phenomenal. Joaquin Phoenix is an amazing actor and his evolution into the Joker was unbelievable.

The Man is brilliant and a genius at acting. Obviously funny and shy! He earned that Oscar! That was one of the best movies ever! He hit every note perfectly and created a beautiful performance! He gave a performance that an acting coach/instructor that referred to, to teach their students about nuance, strength, pain, depth and misunderstanding!

Jimmy is an effortless conversationalist which makes his job on the tonight show a breeze for him. But Joaquin was making him really work for the first time in a while.

Joaquin’s presence is what being high feels like.

Great back and forth. Joker was a movie about mental health awareness... Excellent movie and extraordinary acting from Joaquin Phoenix.

It's like watching two really awkward friends who are very compatible but because they're awkward it's hard to see

Joaquin had control over this show form the start and you can see how Jimmy would get nervous at times to even admitting he was just following the script lol I loved it!

This is one of the best interviews I’ve seen

You guys are tripping Joaquin didn’t mean it negatively or jokingly, the beginning monologue has been a built in part of the late show since the beginning. Monologue can be used to describe a person obliviously dominating a conversation or just to describe someone speaking alone to an audience for a time, which is how he meant it, i.e “do a monologue.” Also Fallon would’ve died ‘laughing’ if he actually made a dig at him there
