I could hear the same joke from her fifteen times over & it would be just as funny as the first time; her delivery is half her humor!

Prove for a woman beauty And being revealing isn't all you need to be attractive. Joan is funny and charming and humble.

A case of like knowing like. She was just as fast as he. If not faster and funnier. So there was a definite admiration from him of her. Clive...more than most....could appreciate just how good Joan was.

In fact, according to my expert on programme dates, it's actually 11th December 1992. Here's my blog on the tape this was on. vhistory.wordpress.com/2016/09/02/clive-anderson-talks-back-tape-1355/

Impossible! Joan says during the clip that her daughter Melissa is 21. Melissa Rivers was born in 1968. You do the math.

I don't know what to tell you. The show went out in December 1992. On the same tape were trailers for Sister Act in cinemas, which was released in November 1992. So unless the show was a repeat (unlikely from 1989) Joan either misspoke, or she was politely not giving the correct age for her daughter. Isn't it a common joke that every woman is 21?

I don't think that's a release date, I think Amazon have used the iMDb listing for when the series started. Here's another review of the same tape, which lists it as 1993. www.thetvdb.com/series/clive-anderson-talks-back/episodes/4102788 On the recording, the first thing they talk about (although they only allude to it) is the recently announced separation of Charles and Diana, which was announced on Dec 9 1992. I checked the whole episode, and Clive Anderson talks about it in his monologue at the start. Plus, right at the end of the show, the copyright date is 1992. vhistory.files.wordpress.com/2018/08/clive-anderson-copyright-1992.jpg I'm pretty confident the date is correct, and she was just being polite when mentioning her daughter's age.

...like many of Manhattan's Upper East Side ladies, the skirt is way too tight, heels are too high.
