Trauma? it's called experience and good parenting for his mom.if your mom just ignored you lost something nor didn't go wild for it,your mom didn't care about you.simple as that... Such mom go ballistic and wild because they want their child to be responsible and independent when they grew up,thus, they do their best to teach their kids about life...

@@arnie3631 sez the tide pod loving gen z?😂😂😂😂😂 Which is why your generation is full of cry babies and weak losers... Don't tell me about less harsher means of discipline.kids are kids, even most cops and military soldiers would agree, you're an idiot parent if you couldn't slap even the butt of your kid.,true, there less harsher ways, but simple physical discipline is always the most effective way to discipline a child the parent just need to understand and learn when discipline is a discipline and when it is already a child abuse... My exgf and i had issues with this problem.she highly believes that because she's the mother can do whatever hell she wants with our kids.and in most times she beats up the kids because she was stressed with her siblings.which really pisses me off.i am a strict disciplinarian, but it no longer discipline of abused.which is why most of the time kids won't listen to her nor would believe her.but,me,i just mostly need to tap hard on the table or shout, and they are like,"sir yes sir!".they trust me alot and listens well to me,even though many times i hit them hard.they understand why i hit them hard, because it is for their future manners.i never, not once, ever hit them because i am stressed or pissed of from something else.they could even disturb me while watching or sleeping and i would just tickle them or chase them like we're playing chase... In conclusion, you're a total failure of a parent if you could not discipline your kid.maybe basic scolding or other non physical means works, but in most kids, that won't fly, specially if you have a dumb crap partner.personally,i really hate hitting my kids,it breaks my heart so much when i do so,but it must be done because i love them alot and don't want them to grow up with crappy manners and discipline...

Asian are not as rich as what u may think. So "Rich Folks" disciplined is different from "Poor Folk" discipline...what I've seen in my life from various races of people who had similar parenting styles shared a certain "Status Level of Income." That's why Spoiled, Rich, Entitled Kids act differently then those who have been thru Hardships. My comment as far as "Fathers" goes is the fact that most men who have experienced Hardships teach there kids differently and its possibly a reason for that, which could be bcuz it's hard out here for men who aren't Rich. And all you have to stand on is Love n Respect and you demand it from your kids.... *Do you feel me now or you still "Dont know wtf I'm talking about."*

I am a FilAm , I was born and raised in the Philippines and got here in america when I was younger and settled down here in 2014. What Jokoy says on this video is so darn TRUEEEEEE lol! I have the same momma, my mom is strict and a disciplinarian. I did a lot of silly things when I was little not overly crazy but typical kid shenanigans. I swear my mom would love to yell and scold me. She would hurt me at times but that is how she disciplined. She stopped spanking and hurting me when I was maybe 17 lol 😆. I turned out to be a decent person because of my strict upbringing, I am not saying that this is good and this is the only way to discipline your kids but it worked for me . Despite of her disciplinary ways , my mom has a heart of gold and a giving and helpful traits and that is the reason why I am thankful to my Filipino mother for my childhood upbringing.

If someone courting me he must visit in the house not to meet anywhere. She never allows me to drink alcohol or smoke. When I have a date there's a chaperone😄. I got married at the age of 28 and he's my fisrt and last. I love my mom she raised me well. My husband and his family admired the way I discipline my kids. I'm proud my mom is a filipino!

Back in 3rd grade, I lost my pink Tupperware and my mother never shut up about it, even after 20 years later. BUT, I'm a little relieved that it's the only one she kept on talking about despite the countless others that I lost after that. So for her 60th birthday, I gave her a set of premium quality Tupperware that looks exactly the same as that one that she never stops nagging about, or at least as how I recall they looked like. She was so happy that she hugged me and she started crying. 10 minutes later, she started talking about the other ones... EDIT - Thanks for all the likes! To anyone wondering- Yes, I am still gifting her with Tupperware and Pyrex containers to this day. I only get her the "replacements" for those that I can admittedly recall, not including the ones that she CLAIM that I lost. Every time I see that excited yet naughty grin on her sweet little face when I come to bring her a new set, I knew it was all worth it. EDIT - So Mama passed away just this June. So now I'm left with all these containers that will never be filled with her cooking ever again. Still pretty unbelievable today that she's gone. Mama, we never agreed on everything but I wanna believe that we loved each other the best that we could. I miss you everyday and I think about you all the time. I miss you so much.

They lived next to a Portuguese family in Rabat; Every single day, my Godmother would tell me, she'd hear through the walls from the parents next door, to their children, a variation of sorts on a daily verbal theme: "Vem aqui, voce merdas, que imponha voce uma castanha!" Later on in her life, my Godmother would move across the Pond to France. 😊😊😊

I'm half Cambodian and this sounds like my Khmer mom. Down to reusing the containers and putting lunch in used cool whip container. Also the lunch trades that I never got to be a part of because nobody wanted to gamble what I had. Luckily on faithful day I met a little Mexican girl that was eating by herself. So I walked up to her asked if she wanted to eat lunch with me we did. I whipped out these cambodian style waffles made with rice flour asked what it was. I told her and my grandmother made it. She reaches into her lunch bag and showed me a container that had homemade flan "my abuela made me this want to trade desserts?" So we did and we've been friends for 18 years ever since. The funnier thing growing up we'll go to eat other's houses and our mom's would make something from our cultures we hated so if my friend ate a Khmer green curry noodle dish I would yell WAIT MARIA DON'T...nevermind" "this is hella good bitch you tripping" Her at her house WAIT BOPHA DON'T EAT THAT...nevermind"

No lie regarding the comments. Filipino mothers are Samurai's with their words & psychological warfare experts with their approach. PLUS...they can stay relatively calm during their "interrogation." It rattles you. She won't ask irrelevant/trivial questions, but questions with precision to "trap" you. She doesn't need to physically discipline you, her approach tattoos in your brain. Can't tell you how many times I "stepped off the line" & KNEW the "interrogation" was coming! I carry a certain apprehension towards my mother to this day--and I know she loves me--but I "walk" with an apprehension when I'm with her. Here's the most interesting part: She's only HALF Filipina--I'm a quarter--but I hear these clips about Filipinos & go, "I TOTALLY get that...."
