"Jožin z Bažin" (meaning "Joey from the Swamps") is a Czech song that became a meme in Poland so the original band released a Polish version of the song sung by them not other people (which I edited to fit the visuals of the music video as if it was dubbed into Polish). This song has become so famous outside of Czechia & Poland that Metallica made a cover of this song on stage in Prague.

This song became popular in Poland because Czech is meant to be very similar to Polish but this song is an example when Poles don't understand Czechs at all. Zero percent. The Polish version didn't needed be to created.

The Polish soul is deper, so the song has to be more serious and tragic. The ending where Swamp Joey gets chased away by a crop duster would be the airplane scene in North by the North-West if a music video for this song were made in Poland.

Jožin z Bažin is an evil swamp monster. The song is a story of a man finding out that there's a bounty for Jožin. Has to capture the monster dead or alive and the reward is marriage to a girl. So he captures the monster with a plane but instead of getting the reward get puts the monster in a zoo. There's a Russian dub of the song but the lyrics where changed to replace Jožin z Bažin monster with Vladimir Putin; kzread.info/dash/bejne/eISsua-airm4j84.html

I think as a Polish-speaker, I understand more of Russian and Ukrainian than Czech.

@@modmaker7617странно. Например, фраза "Живого или мертвого кто Йожина приведет, тому дам в жёны дочь и половину колхоза" - она на чешском и русском звучит почти идентично. А вот польский язык для меня - это сплошной набор шипящих звуков: "ж", "ш", "щ", "ч", "ц". Такое ощущение что слушаешь радио, которое не настроено на волну и ловит несколько станций одновременно 😌 P.S. Просьба не обижаться 😜

@@Abram_Israel_4235 Well, Czech has lots of false friends and funny sounding words from a Polish perspective which is why the Czech version of shis song is a meme in Poland as 80% of it sounds like baby talk or not understandable at all. While Russian and Ukrainian, I guess I can take more seriously and the false friends aren't a big of an issue.

@@Abram_Israel_4235 Well we Poles just don't understand Czechs at all. They either sound like gibberish or baby talk or a mix of both. Slovak on the other hand sounds like a mix between Polish and Czech so it's easier to understand.

This song is a Czech gem, so it has nothing to do with the original, so the Czech language
