JMP Academic Series: Modern DOE (7 April 2020)

Ғылым және технология

In this JMP Academic Series webinar, we are joined by Dr. Bradley Jones and Dr. Douglas Montgomery to learn about their new book "Design Of Experiments: A Modern Approach." They describe the need for a modern approach to teaching and using DOE. In the process, they point out the connections between optimal modern designs, orthogonality in designs, and well-known traditional designs.
Dr. Jones is a Distinguished Research Fellow in the JMP division of SAS, where he is responsible for the development of new methods in design of experiments (DOE). Jones is a recipient of the Statistics in Chemistry award from the American Statistical Association (ASA), a two-time recipient of the American Society for Quality’s Brumbaugh Award for the paper making the largest contribution to industrial quality control, and winner of the Lloyd S. Nelson Award for the article having the greatest immediate impact to practitioners.
Dr. Montgomery, Regents Professor of Industrial Engineering and Statistics at Arizona State University, is an author of 16 books and more than 200 technical papers. He is a recipient of the Shewhart Medal, the Brumbaugh Award, the Hunter Award, the Shewell Award, and the Ellis R. Ott Award. Montgomery is also a recipient of the George Box Medal from ENBIS (European Network For Business and Industrial Statistics).
