Progressive Free Education is when the Government conducts Means Tested Payment of FSHS. Parents will be assessed if they have the means to pay their child’s fees or not. Therefore, they will eliminate their targeted groups

Mahama said he launched Progressively Free SHS Education in 2015 from the beginning of his Statement but ended up saying he brought Free SHS Education. There is a difference between Progressively Free SHS Education and Free SHS Education. Mahama launched Progressively Free SHS Education while Akuffo Addo launched Free SHS Education. The two are not the same, Mahama’s Progressively Free SHS Education was for only Day Students while Akuffo Addo’s Free SHS Education covers both Day and Borders.

Progressively Free SHS is not the same as Free SHS. The progressively Free SHS meant a reduced school fees for the day students back then. Students paid registration fees, admission fees etc.
