JKU On 40s Tackles Windrock Park - Wild Wet Windrock Wheeling
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
East Coast Wheeling!!! Nothing beats offroading and rockcrawling in challenging conditions.
We took a trip in the Jeep Wrangler JKU out to Windrock TN. Windrock is a great offroad park, and has so much to offer.. We had a mix of muddy trails, awesome rock crawling, and even found some snow on the way.
The JKU did great, the 40" Yokohama XMTs performed amazing in these muddy conditions and gripped like it was dry! This is what these tires were made for.
All of the other recent upgrades have help up really well too, the DIY 7SC 3 link long arms, falcon shocks, antirocks, etc. I was super impressed on how the jeep did!
Joining us on the trip was Kevin and Katie from Rockfab Offroad. They make all kinds of recovery gear, so be sure to check them out and help support your fellow wheelers!
www.rfoffroad.com/
Kevins Jeep is a 1996 XJ on 35"mtrs, he is running a clayton 3 link 5.5" lift, sporting a lot of his own handy fabwork for the half cage and armor. He just finished up his Ford 8.8 swap prior to this trip.
Casey, is the Samurai owner. He has owned it as long as i can remember, and he has not changed it up! It performs great, and is a cool little rig. Its on 33"s, solid toyota axles, and is powered by a 1.6l engine if i remember correctly.
This trip was a blast, and it was fun to get out and wheel with some friends, even if it was only for a single day.
Now that we know some good trails to hit, i am planning a group ride sometime this spring here! Let me know if you guys are interested!
Thanks for watching!
Please give the videos a thumbs up and leave a comment!

JK Gear and Gadgets Windrock is one of my favorite places to off-road. They’ve got a little bit of everything there and the scenery is amazing. The first time I went was with my dad in his Jeep and even though it hadn’t been rainy there was mud everywhere.

Dry and rocky👍👍 you can have the mud, unfortunately in Illinois that's all there is. Just waiting for the annual migration westward😁

give me rocks and dry! lol. Have not gotten to wheel the west coast, but have wheeled in OH, KY, TN, and AL.
We need to go back ASAP. Muddy or not! Wish we had trails like this closer to the house... but next time... the LJ needs to be there!

I took my JT over Black Friday weekend. Heavy rain and mud made for lots of butt-pucker moments. Great place to ride though. Hope to go back when it's dry.

Go when Hollie is going. I am going to try and make it on her tour to AOP and Windrock. Next time you go to Windrock hit up Walden's ridge, Panther Rock, and a few others. Oh hell you know Matt and Jeremy this is in their back yard just give them a hollar and have them take you around

Stephen Witham the JK is way more modded than the LJ, that said I’m still rooting for the LJ because LJ owners need to stick together
Looks like the trip was a lot of fun. That little red samurai really impressed me lol

It’s a workhorse for sure
At first I thought it was sad that the Rock Fab guy didn’t have a front locker. Then I thought for a guy trying to sell recovery gear, it’s actually brilliant. He can use the recovery gear all the time. Proving it’s worth. Showing it off. Seriously. Spend the money on an advertising wrap. Boom. 🎤⬇️
I was pleasantly surprised to see the venerable Samurai holding up to a new gen Jeep.
The trail is very, very, very, very espectacular !!! I live in Puerto Rico and I had a samurai, they are great, now I have a 4runner in plans to ride it. success in your videos !!
That Suzuki is fire jeeps too 😭🤣 Edit: p.s I’ll buy a RF rope to help him afford a locker😭🤣

I prefer the southwest for wheeling, but I do like to watch you east coast crazies play in the mud. Btw, I used to live in S.C. and we played in the mud with my dad's FJ55 and 2 CJ5's such great memories.
That looked like a fun day out. Got to love random snow
Good times with great friends! That's what Jeepin is all about!
Love the Samurai
Beauty ride! Love snow! Love the drone footage...great addition! Nice! (keep up with the trail vids, too!)

@@JKGearandGadgets I know! Hit Beasley Knob over Thanksgiving. Want to hit it again a little dryer. Don't mind the mud, but I wanted to crawl more. Windrock is on the list for 2020!
Gotta say great video!! Mad love for that Sammi!! But was nice jku xj and sammi! Great mix!
Excellent video. Always love watching zukes on the trails.
I'm totally diggin' that little Sami. Your boy in the XJ REALLY needs to get some lockers.
Kudos for both of you hanging in there for as long as you did, as I enjoyed it from the warmth of my home. Weather certainly added a suck factor to that adventure. Thank you for bringing us along. Yes, a summer trip is needed.
Awsome video the rigs are bad ass.. especially that Suzuki love to have one of those lol.... Keep the videos comin....
Would love to hit Windrock with you sometime. Last time I went were similar conditions, minus the snow. My buddy and I had no idea what trails to hit. Started on 75 and just slowly worked our way back toward the lodge trying to hit as many blacks as we could.
Enjoyed this video, I’m a yota guy so I was rooting for the Zuk!
Loved this video because I love Windrock!
Our favorite place to wheel coming from Myrtle Beach, but hate all the mud on some of the trails. Trail 15 is so fun and it is right at the beginning of the mountain. After 2 weeks at Windrock, and still only hit a small fraction of the trails there.
This was very beautiful! Would love to see more content like this ;-)

I was looking forward to this video and it did not disappoint. Nice job! I wish I could have been there with y’all.
That's really cool, such different scenery from what I'm used to.
You guys are AWESOME!!
Nice finally Mud!!! Thanks Bro’!!! 🤙🏻
Looked amazing
Those are some sick trails!

Man oh man, that looks fun!!! I'm west coast. We dont have stuff like that. Looked awesome. Sandhallow Utah has one of the best spots to wheel... Definitely would like to get muddy tho. Some of the lines you took where interesting. I will make it out there some day!!! Thanks for the video!!!
That looked fun and a good time.
Got a 2019 jeep with all the add-ons and its awesome.
I'd be down for a spring ride and I'm only 45 mins up the road.....quite a change from when I used to be 45 mins up the road from your current location. I've got a garage to fix any damages from the park as well.
Liked the drone shots Ben. I was gonna head out to windrock in the next couple months. Can't wait.

Great wheelin' video. Great camera work and editing!
Amazing video ben! Not sure why the views are so low.. this should have 100x what it does.
Awesome video.
Dayum...did you even put it in 4WD? LOL...looked to easy for your JKU. And that Samurai...lol....the original side by side. Awesome video!!
Great video! I just picked up a drone myself. Windrock looks hardcore when it’s wet and muddy. I’ve only wheeled out west ( Utah, Colorado, Arizona, California). Illinois is my home state. Not much for trails around here. For Jeeps anyway. Great to see ya out wheeling! Love your channel.
Looks like fun I'll get there one day
Great video again guy's it was worth the wait . No mud for me unless it unavoidable .To much time trying to clean it up . Favorite spot … well … Moab . Until next time take care and I hope you are feeling better now Ben .

Looks like a lot of fun, will be interesting to go this spring. Let us know when (ahead of time to get things ready).

It was originally. Axles have been swapped out to one ton axles though.
Windrock can be a hoot. Our little group is planning on pulling 4 days there the last week of june/first week of july.
seems like the one tons and 40's are working out well for you.
You are so right that Windrock cannot be taken in within one day. It's a weekend minimum. Little nicer in the summer tho 🥶
Next time you guys are here hit up Matt with Bleepinjeep he lives in the area. Hopefully my jeep will be done. I'm in Knoxville.
5:07 the Samurai was dancing
Good Wheelin'
Rocky and dry!
I’m only 30-45 minutes away in west Knoxville would love to meet you guys next time you’re down this way!
I love windrock, we usually go twice a year. It would be cool if you could organize a ride event up there this fall, assuming the Covid is gone.
Awesome video yet again. Our Jeep club is going to Windrock and the tunnel on Valentines Weekend. Would be awesome for you to join us.
You guys should check out the Ace lava jackets for your winter Wheeling excursions. They're very nice and work well. My wife approves of them. They have adapters for different wranglers

Great video Ben! Going wheelin in the mud without doors sounds awful... Are you going to do an after install update on the Currie Antirock swaybar On and Offroad?
That x2 needs a front locker. Or needs to use it if they have one.
Went there with a rzr 900 bad mistake it's full of big ruts and some decent drops
What model GoPro do you use and do you use an external mic with it? I have a Hero 5 Black and the internal mic sucks pretty bad, especially when recording gunfire. Thanks in advance!
I’d like to see all the new and unusual Jeep jk unlimited Accesories. Anything new that helps or works. Does the super chip actually improve acceleration when paired with cold air intake/snorkel package and muscrawler cat back exhaust? So rockslide engineering auto steps work? New Jeep interior mods, JL stealthbox speaker quality, hardtop retractable roof, is 37” with 20s on it still viable off-roading, new displays, dual battery setups...etc
Mud is always fun, but not fun when you get home and have to clean it
