Ooh, that's tricky. You see, some specially protected groups in Scotland (🏳️‍🌈 ☪️) can be credibly accused of misogyny. We can't have that, seeing as the hate speech law was created mainly to protect these groups. The Scottish government have said that separate legislation covering misogyny will be forthcoming. I suspect it will feature special exceptions for expression of potentially misogynistic beliefs and views of a religious/foreign-cultural/T-ideological nature.

They will begin by using this law on the little guy, and those cases won't even get coverage.

Given that 'hate' on the basis of sex-type (especially misogyny) has been, glaringly, omitted from this law, it's clearly meant to protect " religious newcomers", yes, but also the rainbow mafia which increasing numbers of women are finding misogynistic.

Oh they're only "impossible" to prosecute if the person who committed the "offense" is a billionaire. They've "successfully" prosecuted (in other words, railroaded) plenty of regular citizens for these "offenses"...

They are not "impossible to prosecute" unless you have unlimited money, resources and access to publicity like Rowling has. For the common person they will be used to prosecute and intimidate far beyond the scope that they were intended because the police know that the average person does not have the money to defend themselves in court against a government that has unlimited access to tax payers money. people will be unjustly banged up and will have to spend a fortune and wait years for any form of compensation or response.

They are not impossible to regulate, they are designed to effect the poor not the well off who can afford high quality legal representation. This is part of the two tier judicial system we live under.

the biggest thing we are complaining about is the reduction in free speech, this is Humza Yousafs law not Scotland's. even Kings Councils and police don't want it. the majority of the population don't want it and Yousaf has received 2000 complaints about his anti white speech. the law is so vague no one knows what it really means. Scotland has lived on sticks and stones laws for centuries, it's a greater burden on police thought up by a closed group which received support from party whips rather than honest independent thinking.
