Tbh I think sometimes we internally rank ops and songs seperately. You can have a good op but an ok song and vice verse. For example, I love bloody stream the song way more than that actual opening itself, it’s weirdly more forgettable to me than compared to the actual song imo Chase as a song, is a bit too short and repetitive for my taste however it perfectly fit the part of the story it played and hooked me instantly. I got into Jojo late, so I never knew this was hated. I’m obviously a bit biased but I can never quite place where it ranks or how but chase op wise is probably one of my favorites visually, I don’t care if it feels more like a “generic Shōnen op” It fucks so hard. Honestly I feel like it’s a great example of a decent song but an absolute banger op imo

The fact is that people say "chase don't combine with DiU", literally the name of the song is CHASE, this is related to the fact that Yoshikage Kira (Kosaku Kawajiri) ran away and now Josuke and his friends are looking for him, so it fits perfectly as what is happening is a chase to find Yoshikage Kira. Idk wth i argumented about this but is just my opinion about.

This song fits DIU the most out of the other openings… Just look at the lyrics, it’s literally describing Josuke’s feelings during the Kira arcs, I don’t know how anyone thinks this

*I figured I'll point out a few things in case people have questions:* - 00:26 is actually a gun clicking. I was looking for a normal nail clip sound, but they were too lame. - At 00:31 I know that it's a pigeon, but a crow caw sounded cooler. - At 00:42 you can hear what sounds like a ship horn. This is actually the sound that Echoes Act 3 makes when first appearing. - The person who says "Josuke" at 01:10 is Kira. His voice is raspy bc I used dialogue from him being all beat up. - You'll notice inconsistencies with the subtitle format, which is due to me using various YT clips for footage, and not my own copy of the anime.

0:19 whatever you used to distort Josuke’s voice when he says “I’m gonna kick your ass!“ despite it being a an error or not, (because I can hear the distortion in Shigecgi’s voice as well) it fits, and sounds REALLY cool!!

This is also a masterpiece. I was reading this from shonen Jump every week. I was around 3rd grade. Im 39 now and not sure how much impact it did to me.

I still think this opening is beautiful, and I genuinely don't understand all the hatred it clearly doesn't deserve. And such great videos are just back up my opinion.

I never understood why people didn't like Chase. I can get it if it's not your cup of tea, but some people act like it's a badly written song. It's not. It's a really good song.

@@mfw223 some of the clips have music in the background which might be a reason i can’t fully remove the background music so some of it is audible 😬 imma start using more Eyes of Heaven sound clips from now on tho, which won’t have background music or noise

I honestly think Killer Queen is the deadliest stand. He can blow up anything, he can reverse time, has a near indestructible mini tank and can shoot explosive bubbles with stray cat.
