She raised her boys with discipline (which is lacking in many families) and they grew up to be real men. Good for her.

Gronk's mom was absolutely not strict and had no chores for her boys: she has five, and they collected more rings. The Belichick way might work, but it doesn't need to be that way. It should be a balance. In case of Gronk's mom it was school. The rooms could look as the mini Gronks saw fit, but the homework had to be done on time. But different kids, different ways. Both moms did a great job in the end.

She and her husband did not raise them to be NFL stars, they raised them to follow their dreams and showed them how to obtain them. If not football, they would have been stars doing something else! Responsibility and discipline served with lots of love, produces men like the Watts brothers! Great video and may God continue to bless the Watts as they ride this blue marble through space!

When I first became aware of JJ Watt, I repeated the same mantra to myself. So what, you can sack a quarterback, you can play a guitar, you can sing, you can whatever SO WHAT - WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU??? So rather than just allow myself to become mesmerized by JJ'S skills on the field, I began to study up on JJ the person. It became immediately obvious was just as great a person as he is a defensive end. One of those people that I think very highly of and I encourage my grandchildren to do the same. My wife and I are raising our 3 grandchildren, we too have a chores list, list of rules and responsibilities, table manners, the whole bit. If my kids turn out to be good people like JJ then I will have done my job well and I will be happy. Even if they never touch a football.
