Brother, I love how passionate and seemingly honest views that you air. It would be a great service to the nation if more hosts of current affairs were as assertive as you are. Keep up the good work

@JJTabane get educated on how America became the United States of America. Without the involvement of external forces United States of Africa is possible. Is the South African Media incapable of committing mistakes or getting it wrong in their reporting? It seems as if they are always right. JJ KNOWS that the Ombudsman is useless. SANEF consists of Editors who approve these stories about EFF, therefore, they can not resolve anything. It's important for the likes of JJ to listen with their ears and not with their emotions. EFF made a call for the strengthening of external mechanisms so that they may have confidence in the process of laying a complaint against a certain media house. I really fail to understand why y'all don't capture that call made by the EFF.

Morgan - Vice You are the one who needs to educate yourself on the US and the UK: Their succes was also induced by the period in history and the methods that unity was achieved. Period: 1700s, where there was limited chioce and more or less the politicians were like lords. Two, the areas were not that populated, like it is now or like Afrika, therefore a small parliament was enough to run the big area. When in Afrika we have so many presidents and prime ministers and other government employees who will loose jobs big time and in huge numbers in Afrika. Method: was not democracy but the federation and the United Kingdom were created by violence, not negotiations. So do not tell us about the EU, because it has to state conditions for a member to join the European Union, such free and fair elections, transparency, free from corruption, human rights. I have studied Pan-Afrikanism, it does not work, actually most leaders, or rather the majority of Afrikan leaders, do not want the United States of Afrika. Human rights and corruption are rife in Afrika, that is what is a problem. You need to fix your countries. Malema is lying when it comes to Afrika, I was in exile from age 16 and I even now I travel in Afrika and you do not want to go there. Right now we were to invest in Rwanda, but due to the unstable relationship between the two countries, we decided to not to go ahead with the investment. There wont be a United States of Afrika, there are not even simple tools in place to make Swatini Lesotho and South Afrika into one country. As these two countries’ economic survival is totally dependent on SA, even during the apartheid era. Their currencies are supported by the Rand. Wake up! Malema is good on some other issues but totally bad on borderless Afrika. Because no Afriksn state will remove their borders but will encourage South Afrika to open its borders, that is how we are baris.

Do terms count for opposition parties, or they start as soon as they become presidents of the country?

Qthob Qthobs I think that we inherited an outdated system, where presidents and the GDs, in some Parties Chairman are so powerful and respected beyond what is necessary. I guess if we could minimise the importance of an individual in a party or government, we will drastically reduce the addiction of power. I think that, instead of having one strong man/woman, it could help to have a presidential committe. Those elected into it will rotate the position of the presidency; ie 5 of them will have to preside each year the comitte is in power. This also creates continuity, unlike the joke we had become of the cult of presidency. For instance the ANC govt had no clear continuity, Mandela had an RDP programme, but Mbeki has to have GEAR and Zuma had NDP. But with a president’s committe, the project, idea, policy belong to everyone in the committe. We introduce that and dictatorship will disappear in parties and in government. If there was a committe of the president; Mbeki alone would not refused to issue ARVs, Zuma would not have given the country to the Guptas and Mugabe would not have been so powerful and make unilatery decisions.

Spot on JJ, United States of Afrika is just a waste of time and energy, it never worked in the 60s neither will it work in the 4000. Its a pipe dream. Afrikan states needs to clean up their mess and treat their citizens with respect and love like equals and not as subkects they make us to be. Great balance analysis, giving Juju a fair critique. Praising him where he deserves and pointing his flaws where they exist. Unlike many who just see him as a bad person, an animal and even when he says good things or do good things, they still vilify him. Good journalism. 👊🏿

Why didn't work before? Is it impossible to attain or is it made so by the ones exploiting it? Once upon a time there was an era in Europe when it was in constant war with itself, called "The dark ages", where they even ate human flesh. China used to be known as "The warring States of China". USA used to be a exploited British Colony. All these countries overcame their internal wars and united to stand together, and built powerful empires. Don't be a defearist. Countries and continents weren't born united, they did so after war, bloodshed, and common goals shared. If Africa doesn't unite, then Africans will never be able to decide their own fate
