Well LeBron came in to this era of social media and sports media became very desrecpectful to their coverage of games and players and how they speak on players,it used to be a day when a player just got a news paper see a mention about them that was negative and they could move on, now you have a lot sports media channels that are out loud and very desrecpectful and they think it's entertaining to dog out players and their paid for it,!

I have to give this to JJ REDICK. He has experienced playing high level competitive basketball in the NBA, STEPHEN A has none of that and just sounds convincing because he delivers his OPINIONS (even if he's NO EXPERT) with conviction and confidence. STEPHEN A is full of himself and doesn't like to be UPSTAGED. It's FACT he's THE MOST UNETHICAL ANALYST, loves raising his voice, and almost always interrupts his colleagues while still talking. He does this to almost EVERYONE (PERK, JJ REDICK, SKIP, to name a few). Sadly, i don't think he'll change this BAD HABIT soon.

But why should he? That's what the show is and what it's all about. And people still talk about him and the show. There are KZread channels even like this one that are literally about Stephen A and his takes. I'm not disagreeing with you at all btw. But there's no way this'll change. The only way it does - is when Stephen A Smith leaves to do something else or someone new comes in that ESPN decides to get behind more than him.

    A) Thats not true, The *MEDIA tells people through coverage who they should like and be interested in at a mass level. While at the Micro their is a more natural and organic deciaion of popularity that the Media refuses to cover if they do t deem them big enough or they simply dont like them and so they have total control over the mainstream. B) I am so tired of people who are WRONG being unable to appreciate and accept the fact that they are being faced with a problem and to respect that and accept it, rather than turning it into a personal attack or a fallacious argument , turning the issue into something that it had nothing to do with prior. Stephen A having a degree snd becoming successful was never in question or being attacked - Yet, when He is faced with the fact that HE DOESNT UNDERSTAND FULLY WHAT PLAYERS AT THIS KEVEL GO THROUGH ; He has to turn it into some weird fallacious attack and a displaced argument by bringing up his degree and success, as though then, he isnt wrong because of his degree and his position and therefore saying, he doesnt need to know whats what from the player perspective and therefor by proxy doesnt need to accept or understand J.J. Reddicks position and is then fully backed to dismiss his position and argument. C) The Media uses constant repetition as a way to propogandize a topic or a story, and then also uses it as a way of controlling the narrative of said story or topic, in order to try and be at the center of control and the center of being the ones who tell the masses whats popular , whos who and why ...regardless & *IN SPITE OF THE TRUTH*.

JJ can say all that foolishness, but I'm willing to bet, the advertisement dollars for the Heat vs Nuggets, is vastly different, from the Lakers vs Celtics. JJ Reddick argument is like the WNBA saying they deserve more money, when they're not getting national support. You can market it all day, but fans don't support small markets. Neither do the player's, when given the choice, with no restraints, they're going to the big markets.

The only problem with these new stars they choose (the media)to uplift over other players is that these newer stars don't stand out amongst their peers anywhere but on paper. Example: On paper LeBron James is an undisputed star In action he's boring basic unenergetic and not explosive when he needs to be During Jordan,Kobe,Magic,Bird etc era they were not only stars on paper. They were a sight to see in real time. Tim Duncan has 5 rings. No one ever enters him into the G.O.A.T conversation. Why? Because as good as he was on paper he wasn't exciting to watch. These newer stars including LeBron Stephen, Jokic etc are just basic in real time. Are these newer stars top players? Certainly Are they explosive players and fun to watch? Just barely. My advice. Lay off the whistle. Stop letting the league and the refs and the media choose who the stars are. Let the players play hard like back in the day. And let them fight to rise to the top on their own. Stop letting Nike tell yall who gets the calls and who doesn't. The fans can tell a manurfactured champ when they see one.

Well 20 years ago that was not the case because the people paid to discuss and promote the game didn't openly (for the most part) root for and against players, teams and markets and tell you who and what was important and not good. But that changed to where we are now so the media and league will only put certain, players, teams, franchises and markets on TV. The Celtics were not good mostly for the better part of 15 years between the Bird, Parish and McHale era till the Pierce, Garnett, Allen and Rondo but when they did something they were talked about. The Golden State Warriors outside a few seasons of "Run TMC" or "We Believe" were not the greatest team but when they were doing something they were talked about, then they got Steph, Klay and Draymond got together and became great. Between Barkley leaving and Iverson getting drafted were not good but they were talked about when they did something. The Charlotte Hornets with Zo, LJ, Muggsy, Dell Curry and later on with Glen Rice and Vlade Divac they were talked about. What grew the game was shows like "Inside Stuff" on NBC, and "NBA 2 Night" on ESPN used to talk about every team and not only the star players. So people became fans of all the players and let you decide as a fan. But the shows now tell who is important, who to like, who not to like and regurgitate the same played out topics 50 times a day on all the shows. I thank God for KZread so we as fans can choose to watch and here about anything we want to see and here. Also non mainstream sports websites.
