As a coach if you can't get a title with AD and Lebron it's on you as a coach. It is Rob Pelinka and Hams fault. How does Pelinka let Caruso,KCP and Dwight go? These 3 pieces were key defenders to a championship team. 2. Pelinka hired Ham who is an absolute idiot when it comes to starting lineups, rotations and substitutions. 3. Just look at the starting lineup vs Denver. How is Reeves and Dlo expected to guard Jamal Murray, KCP and especially Michael Porter Jr. on the perimeter? Dlo and AR literally let MPJ have clear shots all day. Also AR and Dlo cannot cover Murray. Finally Dlo and AR cannot cover KCP either. Denver had clear shots at the 3. 4. The Lakers would have been far better off having more athletic players guard Murray and MPJ. 5. I forget the other 7 footer the Lakers had but he should have been thrown at Jokic. Have that player use all 5 of his fouls. Against a great team you have to use all your fouls hard fouls too. What championship defense have you seen not use hard fouls? 80s Lakers,Celtics and Pistons all used hard fouls to try and stop momentum. 90s Knicks, Heat and Bulls all used hard fouls. All these basic things I mentioned a good coach would do. To try and contain Jokic you throw all available big bodies at him. Be physical and hard foul if you have to. Darvin Ham is so dumb he uses AD one of the best players to guard Jokic. AD is gassed in 4th because Jokic is too much. Rui Hachimura should be guarding MPJ. Lebron on Aaron Gordon. I as a regular joe can see these basic strategies. Yet this idiot Ham couldn't. So good riddens don't let the door hit you in the ass!

Ham made a lot of mistakes, challenges, and time outs. A few times he should have called a time out earlier but waited for the wrong time letting nuggets pick up steam. Questionable lines ups etc..

These guys have their rose coloured glasses on. Sure, Davin Ham is a high character personality, and he has great values, and he's a really great guy, but everyone saw the faults of his coaching decisions and not holding himself or his coaching staff accountable and that's why everyone was screaming for him to be fired since before the WCF last year. It's more nuanced and complex than their winning record or their playoff appearances. You expect playoff appearances and winning records when you have 2 top 75 players of all time. It felt like they won games in spite of their coach. Don't get it wrong though, Ham is not the only reason for failure. The players need to be held accountable also. DLo and AR performed well in the regular season but had 3 dud games out of 5 in this playoff series, not acceptable for starters. Same can be said about Rui. Only he had 4 bad games out of 5 in the playoffs. Bench players did not show up when needed. Pelinka decided to stay put at trade deadline instead of trying to improve the roster other than the buyout of Spencer Dinwiddie.

Ham was terrible at making adjustments in game and his early rotations were off the charts stupid. The man started Cam Reddish and Prince for long stretches this season for Gods sake. Yes, they were close and competitive with Denver, but Ham himself cost the team at least 4-5 victories this season with his odd rotations and decision making alone, which would have put them in a much better situation seed wise. Yall know why Steven A. and Wilbon are complaining and I get tired of the same old argument...
