@@euro51116 - To be fair, Nash was given an awful situation. He had to deal with Kyrie not getting a vaccination and not playing home games. He had to deal with injuries to Durant and Kyrie. He had to deal with James Harden forcing his way out and then Ben Simmons's circus show coming in. He had to deal with Durant's toe being on the line in Game 7 vs Milwaukee the year the Bucks won it all. And through all of that, he still finished 6th in Coach of the Year. I don't think any coach could have succeeded in that spot.

You never disappoint!
Red Auerbach's first season as a professional basketball coach was with the Washington Capitols in the 1946-47 season, during which he achieved remarkable success. He led the team to a league-best record of 49-11 in the inaugural season of the Basketball Association of America (BAA), which later became the NBA. This included a then-record 17-game winning streak. His emphasis on a fast-break style of play was innovative and effective, although his team was eliminated in the playoffs by the Chicago Stags
Dr Buss's children are one of the examples I give when people ask me why I don't want to have kids. They are not their dad 🙄
Why are we all of a sudden acting like coaching matters in the NBA? it’s literally just substitutions & making sure everyones on the same page 😂

Windhorst is 100% correct. They need some athletic wings that can shoot and a few players that can put the ball on the floor. The Lakers should’ve held onto Caruso.
If you come across this, please send your prayers and positive energy. I’ve been battling health issues for years.
Decisions like this hire is why the Lakers franchise has turned into a dysfunctional circus! Kobe is looking down at the franchise in total disgust!
High Risk High Reward
Windhorst is trying to rewrite history saying David Blatt didn't have a chance with LeBron from Day 1. Blatt had the Cavs first in the East when he was fired. He obviously was doing something right with LeBron.

Beating Kyrie in the finals and lebron setting back the lakers 5 years, I couldn’t have Imagined this !
We're just watching another Steve Nash and the Nets episode happening again.
If anything its very entertaining to see. JJ personality will be very spicy toward the media. I am more interested in his press conference than his coaching to be honest. Imagine his answers when the media asked him "what do you say to people when they say you got the job mainly because you have a podcast with Lebron?" Or " how does it feel that you not the Lakers first choice" or " you never coach basketball before"
Lakers huddle for last minute shot... Lebron: Play action on the left side, give me the ball. JJ: What Lebron said.
Notice how Lebron is never super close to someone with authority over him. He's not close to Jordan, he's not close to older coaches with a track record that is undeniable, etc. He's close to those who suck up to him most and who he can manipulate the most. Lebron doesnt respect JJ in the way one would respect Phil Jackson. He likes JJ. There's a difference.
😂 this is going to turn bad, like leaving milk out from the fridge. Just give it a little time. 😂
JJ is actually brilliant
Respect will go out the window if they’re not winning
Reading these comments makes my heart happy. Thank you all!
If you look close you can see LeBron’s hand way up Brian Windhorst, making his mouth move.
As soon as he and Lebron were off-air after the first "Mind The Game" podcast, Lebron made sure JJ got the job;
He has to be surrounded by well seasoned coaches
Windy lost weight. Proud of him.

Bro needs to lose 100 more
This could be like that movie Money Ball with all the statistics and analytics.
I love that you all think that the HC should be friends with the players… actually kind of sweet 😊
Imagine giving someone a FOUR YEAR DEAL to coach a team, a coach that has ZERO experience doing so. If you were someone who thought "oh, LeGM isn't a thing", well, what do you say about that now? Still think LeBron has no say in roster moves and coach hiring/firings? This team is going nowhere and JJ will last MAYBE 2 years. They won't win anything, so if anything he's guaranteed to be given one year to figure things out. That second year, if they still suck, he's out of there just like every other coach under LeBron's regime.
