there was this scene in the early episodes where jj says that his dad hits him all the time and he had to do something because he was scared of him, i thought he was lying to get out of the situation, which he kinda was because when he fled from the area he smirked and shit...i later found out it was true, broke my heart

How does he manage to be so funny, strong, hot, amazing friend, and be like the best and most iconic character. The most messed up out of them and stil be so great. HOW CAN SOMEONE BE SO PERFECT

Midsummers breaks my heart. The way his Dad treats him even before we see him get hit and by saying "sad to say he's my son" (or something like that) it's just so sad. At least he has a great family in the Pogues.

Man I love JJ so much he took the fall for Pope, hes super protective of his friends and hes always got their backs. All this time he would get beaten by his dad but he still smiles and laughs. I really hope he becomes insanely happy

Jj is such a loyal guy, he seems like a loyal bf, and he is so abused. He is misunderstood and is taken advantage of. He want to live normal life and wants to be a normal boy. I personally think is is jealous of John b cause John b has a perfect life and never has to do the stunt stuff whereas JJ has to do all the dirty work along with his dad. He has to deal with an abusive dad and has to be some perfect kid that everybody wants and he has to deal with life thing. He has to hide things that he shouldn’t have to hide and he should have to live with his horrible ass dad. Thank you for reading all the way through.

Rudy played JJ’s character soo well honestly. The way he acts,talks, even the facial expressions are on point. I feel like JJ as a person doesn’t necessarily misbehave because of his past I just feel as though he’s at the point in his life where he doesn’t have anything to live for except for his friends and the good they where looking for. And I feel like everything he does is for his friends not just for himself. Like in that one scene where he was like ‘I bought it for my family’ referring to his friends and the hot tub. Just shows he considered his friends more like his actual family compared to his father.

Zoe Badzx i know! I can’t wait for his storyline in season 2 but I know it’s going to be an emotional one to watch 😭

I loved how we could see his evolutions throughout the episodes, at the beginning he was the one who would started to fight or to be aggressive but after he would be the one would stop people from fighting

i saw a comment and it said “such a gryffindor” but i honestly think jj is the biggest hufflepuff you’ll ever come across, he’s so funny and loyal. he can be violent, but its either for standing up for himself or his friends. jj is a sweetheart and he deserved the world. he’s 100% a hufflepuff.

I totally see what you mean about him being another Stiles. Stiles was my favourite on Teen Wolf, the only reason I watched it was because of him. Stiles had my whole heart and I just wanted to tell him everything would be okay and now it's the same with JJ. Completely different personalities but so many similarities in emotions and things like that. Your description actually just made me realise why I like JJ so much, he's like Stiles and I miss Stiles :( Still, he's his own person and I love JJ for just being JJ haha. I also love the edit btw, it's amazing :) Ps: The hot tub scene killed me just like Stiles in the rain with Scott killed me. I cried so hard.
