JJ used to call you Lottie and he was the only one who could. - Your 17 and and the Pogues are 19 - You’ve graduated a year early. - JJ was your best friend then he up and left without any explanation - John B is protective over you, as are the other Pogues but they aren’t like reeeeally protective, just a little. - Your not dating anyone but you hang out with Rafe a lot since he was there for you while everyone was looking for JJ and you’d become kind of invisible. (But the Pogues notice you again now.) - Kiara and Pope are dating as are John B and Sarah. - { } = thinking - [[.]] = on the phone (texting&calling) Charlotte: I’d just kind hoped he’s left a letter, you know. Sarah: I’m sorry Char, that’s gotta be hard. I didn’t know JJ as well as you did. Maybe he had a reason for leaving. Charlotte: maybe, he but still had promised me he’d take me on a surfing trip with him. But now…. Our plan together are gone. Sarah: I know this is going to sound hard Char, but your going to have to let him go. You know how his dad disappeared a month ago, no sign of him whatsoever, well JJ takes after his father in some aspects, I think this may be one of them. *you feel a tear trickle down your cheek as John B enters the living room.* John B: what’s wrong Charlie? Charlotte: I just wish I could talk to JJ. *you brother cringes slightly.* Charlotte: {why’d he cringe?} John B: I know Charlotte, but he’s cut tied with… us… Charlotte: why’s you say it like that? John B: like what? Charlotte: like you know something I don’t. John B: I don’t, no clue what your going on about. *he shrugs and goes over to the fridge, removing the drinks and going back out to the fire where Kiara and Pope are waiting.* Sarah: you coming out or are you staying? Charlotte: I think I might stay here for a bit. Maybe curl up with a book. Sarah: alright. Kie and I will be outside if you need us. Charlotte: alright. Have fun. *you give a short small smile. Going to your room you open the cupboard, pull a small box out from the back. Then you make sure the bedroom door is locked, as well as curtains closed. Sitting on the ground, legs crossed you pull a bl@de out from the box. Running it along your arm you feel a stinging sensation, then bl00d comes trickling down your c^t.* Charlotte: it’s all my fault. I should have made him stay. I should have kept a close eye on him to make sure he was alright. *you c^rse yourself out and wipe the bl@de clean, shoving it back into the box and tossing the back to the back if the cupboard, you hold a tissue over your c^ts until they stop excessively bl€€ding before you grab a hoodie and go outside to the fire.* Pope: hey Charlie, come join us. Charlotte: alright. But only for a little bit I’m going out on the water with Rafe tomorrow and I need to make sure I get up early enough to go running before he get here. Kiara: gosh girl, what’s with you and running? Charlotte: it helps me to stay fit and plus we seem to get in the habit of getting chased pretty much all the time. So it’s good endurance training. *that was half of the truth. The other half… well… it kept you from €nding yourself.* Sarah: how how was everyone day? Kiara: busy, I’ve been getting so many calls from my parents asking me to come home. They want to attend another Mid-summer with them. I really don’t want to. Pope: yeah, well I have to go, I’m helping Pops with food… John B: I might be scoring a job there as a sever, not sure yet. Sarah: yeah no I’m not going. Charlotte: I’m so thankful I work at a library and not as a waitress! Sarah: hell yeah! *you high five and wince slightly as the shock travels through your arms.* Kiara: you don’t work at the library Sarah. Sarah: I know but I work at the bakery, so I don’t have to go to the Mid-summer! *kiara rolls her eyes, jealous, and changes the conversation.* Kiara: you still going to go surfing with Rafe tomorrow then? *Kiara asks, directly to you.* Charlotte: that’s the plan. John B: why do you’d still hang out with him? I mean his helped you through your Depress!0n, you don’t need him anymore you have us. *you still have a little depress!0n. But they don’t know that.* Charlotte: I know, but I’m still friends with him. *sarah elbows how him and hisses to him, but accidentally loud enough for everyone to hear.* Sarah: she’s grieving over JJ, Rafe is a substitute, don’t question it! She’s happy when she with him! John B: mhm, well have fun Charlie. *you feel a bit embarrassed by what Sarah says so you quietly excuse yourself and inside. Changing into some Pj clothes and laying down you on your bed you message Rafe* [[charlotte]] hey Rafe!! [[Rafe]] hi Charlie [[charlotte]] we still good for tomorrow? [[Rafe]] yup. [[charlotte]] heads up I may be getting a shift tomorrow. [[rafe]] how long would it be? [[charlotte]] from 1-5pm [[Rafe]] that’s fine. I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning at 7:40. Might even stay at the library while you work. You free for dinner tomorrow night? [[charlotte]] yeah, honestly you she got to stop spoiling me. [[Rafe]] why? It’s not like you don’t deserve it. Plus it’s not that often. [[charlotte]] it’s often enough. *you and Rafe talk a little more and then you roll over and go to sleep.* Part 3 coming soon
