What I love about this is when he casually says "everybody knows" Alex is using shaman magic. Jiri talks like it's common knowledge, like he genuinely believes he is fighting a wizard. That alone would be alarming, but then you realize that even when he believes he'll be fighting a spiritually enhanced warrior, he STILL wants to fight. I would genuinely pay to see a life video-feed of what goes on inside Jiri's head.

That’s a great example of mental poison. Jiri will much likely lose the fight because of that. The self-suggested mind can really weaken him by inducing a belief that he is in disadvantage. Well, first of all there’s no evidence, ever, that black magic produces any result. But regardless of that, there’s clearly a misinterpretation of Alex’s response. Jiri’s question was specifically about “dirty practices”; while Alex’s answer was more of a “religious one”, since he said that he has found his “spirit” (guardian angel, jesus, etc.) and learnt that he is not made of just flesh and bones. From his response, there’s no hint of him practicing any black magic at all.

We are not Slavic, in terms of DNA geneological tests and studies, we are a strange mixture with 10 % of Czech people having a lot of Viking blood according to the newest studies. That's probably what happens when your country is in the middle of Europe and everyone kind of mixes with everyone.

Honestly, I like Jiri. I like that he pauses before he talks about other fighters. You can tell that he respects their skillset. Any ole' fighter can just say that Poatan has heavy hands, Which is obvious, but Jiri brought up Alex's "focus", which is an underrated attribute while fighting. You can tell that Jiri really relies on focus and respects how important it is. I have mad respect for an opponent who takes a loss on the chin, and doesn't let it ruin his character. Poatan is a great fighter and there's a lot to learn from him, even if you're already one of the best in the world.
