Jiri is such a likeable guy. Very few fighters are so honest with the media and themselves as Jiri is, and he shows us time and time again that he really is an honorable man..... giving the belt up when he got injured, accepting his loss with grace, not blaming Marc Goddard like most would, etc. I like Rakic too but I'm rooting for Jiri 100%, I wanna see that rematch with Alex!! 😁✌️

Many fighters drop their opponent from a standing choke or step on them post-KO. Just is not a good look. So annoying how Ariel constantly talks to fighters who clearly haven't mastered English and can only speak basic English. Yet Ariel completely ignores and disrespects that, and constantly uses words that Jiri definitely can't understand. Even to the very end with his last question, asking him about "Embarking on his training camp" like Jiri is good to understand the word embark. I don't know if it's just plain ignorance on Ariel's part, or if it's just his ego. Maybe he's so concerned with how he's sounding while asking questions, that he's not willing to simplify his questions with more basic English to be respectful to the level of English his guest has. Either way, you'd expect a higher level of understanding and awareness from a guy who supposedly has a journalism degree and has talked like he takes his job very seriously.

I'm a big fan of Jiri, but I'm a bit bummed to hear him making the comments about mistakes in training camp as being the reason for the loss. I can't tell you how many fighters I've heard leading up to a fight saying they've had a great camp or their best camp ever and they've done everything right. Then they lose and change their mind and talk about how bad the camp was. Every now and then you'll hear fighters stand by camp being good, but they just didn't feel right on the night and didn't show up. But I guess it's somewhat natural for fighters to convince themselves of certain reasons they lost on the night. To be fair, it may be a good thing to keep them motivated and not discouraged if they can place the blame on something other than their skills.

  • @Dzenda-qg4hr

@@Dzenda-qg4hr They can and they have. They may not say it in exactly those words, but some fighters will definitely say things like it was the hardest or most grueling camp they've ever had and just generally talk about how challenging it was. But another thing they can do if they didn't have a good camp but don't want to say it, is just don't say anything at all. You don't have to lie about it. And Jiri was bringing it up on his own without being asked. Talking about how great his camp was. There's a big difference between just not talking about it, or if a reporter asks about camp and you just give a generic "it's been good" and what Jiri did, in going out of his way to make it sound like he had a life altering camp and was rejuvenated and coming into the fight reborn as a new warrior. That's the only reason I'm holding him accountable.

I want this kid to get the belt again but he needs to stop punching trees and get in touch with someone with the expertise as Steven Seagal or a better team. Don't want him to have an ending like Tony who also trained like the kids at Shaolin temple.

Here we go again. After the Glover fight he sang the same song. The thing is , he won’t change. His style will allow him to beat 80% of the opponents, but with guys like Pereira and Rakic and even probably Blachovic he will have problems. What he lacks is not warrior spirit or motivation but some really basic skills. He leans forwards which is a suicide against high level strikers

I think the same thing and I get a feeling that he is finished now, simce he camt understand he was getting beaten from the start. he is unwilling to make any changes to his hands down, face-first style and he will pay for it probably.

Jiri you are over confident you don't respect his kick and his power that why you lose ,remember you are not better than anybody every where until tấn you will become the champ again.

The guy vacated his title willingly after sustaining one of the worst shoulder injuries in UFC history, only to come back and fight one of the most dangerous strikers to ever enter the octagon, but a random internet troll says he is weak so it must be true 🙄
