Such a classy move for Jiri to relinquish the Belt. (Other's have held it) I'm very impressed with Jamal Hill's performance. Jiri vs Hill will be fun. Hill showed a lot more ability to handle himself on the ground. He was able to go all 5 rounds. Stayed active with his energy and he was successful in all aspects of the fight. Can't wait to see Jiri vs Hill.

@D1 You're misinterpreting what he said. He said he still wanted to fight, and the ufc wouldn't let him fight with one arm. So he gave up the belt. The ufc never told him to he had to give up the belt.

Glover became an old man over night. There’s a reason that phrase exists. He looked like a shadow of the fighter who lost to Jiri 6-7 months ago. Jiri is the man but it’s cool Hill gets to experience getting the Gold for a bit & keep the belt warm for Jiri. Let’s go Champ. Heal up

Despite his English is getting better, respect for that, Ariel I would highly recommend to have interview with him with translator. I'm from Czech republic and he has a lots to say, all the things you are interesting, you'll get an answer. He's way more interesting then he's able to show in English speaking interview. @MMAFightingonSBN

I really appreciate and respect this guy and hope for his recovery and future success

As these fighters get older their last fights tend to take a lot out of them. I think that Jiri did that to Glover in their fight. Jiri is like a fighter out of a video game, can't wait to see him back.

Jiri is gonna be back better than ever. You can see in his eyes in this how fired up he is, he's gonna take everyone's heads. He has a warrior mindset so he will heal as quickly and efficiently as possible and will make sure to keep training however he can, like on his Instagram you can see him still training conditioning. The main guys he needs to watch are 1 obviously Jamal and then 2 Blachowicz and Magomed and see who wins between them if they rematch like they should. What I want to see happen is Blachowicz vs Magomed 2 then winner gets Jamal then winner of that gets Jiri when he returns. Johnny Walker is a big concern for Jiri as well, so he will focus on him and watch every fight closely and pick up on his tendencies.

Only guys I really see beating him for 100 percent certainty is Magomed with wrestling and all around dominance and maybe Jan with his leg kick game.

Taking nothing away from Hill, but Glover really looked like a 40 year old compared to his last few fights. Even his TD attempts in the first round looked super slow, the wars & old age really caught up since his Jiri fight . I think Jiri vs Hill will be awesome none the less & then I’m sure down the line, Hill vs Peirera will be made .

Speed and age aside Glover's fight IQ wasn't point in this fight . He was head hunting the entire time .His hands were also low allowing Jamal to land that headkick repeatedly. He could gone to the body or go for leg kicks. Not taking anything away from Jamal but I think Glover could have done better considering his training with Alex.

it’s hard to be speed and age aside when he’s 43 years old and was just in a massive war his last fight. it’s probably what led him to fight that way. if he’s dipping to go to the body imagine how badly he’d get caught. you can’t put massive things like that aside because whether we like it or not; it forsure affected how glover fought

It's why he usually mix both so well through fights. He really got touched by time between fights. Pointing this out doesn't take anything from Hill's win, mate.

Glover went out on his shield but I'm really sad how bad the crowd was there. He gave everything to stay in that fight and he could have given up but he's no like that and he certainly deserved better from the people there.

Love Jiri's fighting style, mindset and views on martial arts. Sometimes wonder can his views not only be beneficial but also damaging to his training direction and skill development. His open stance and hands down approach give him ability to see the openings and opponents attacks sooner, but also require more time to defend himself, hence Jiri has been cracked/dropped almost every time he has fought in UFC. Wonder how long can his brain can withstand that damage before starting to shut down on minor traumas (like with Walker). Also wonder how would he perform against guys like Jones that would really take advantage of his style

Dropped almost every time? He's had 3 fights in UFC - Oezdemir, Reyes and Teixeira, the only one who rocked him bad was Reyes. And idk if we count that upkick - Jiri said he was KOed, but you don't recover from a KO in like 1 second.

He is young and in great shape so he can still take the damage and recover quickly but if you follow this sport long enough you start to see this fighters developing glass chin as their brain is trying to protect them sooner. While hands down approach is attractive for us speculators, it is inferior to fighters that use their hands for defense as well

@julian marx yes agree 100%, that's why we all love to see him fighting. Other great fighter in that division is rakic- on the other hand I feel he is to cautious and calculative and could use some of Jiri's wildness

Glovers age finally caught up with him in that fight. Hill vs Jiri, well that's going to be fascinating. Interesting he mentions Walker power because that guy is freaking frightening now. How big are Jiri hands, damn!

Watching this back after the Hill interview. It's crazy how Jiri gives more respect to Hill than Ariel does...

What's impressive to me is how Ariel shows nothing but respect to all his guests...Never interrupts, always hits key points of interest and he will not change his moral code no matter who it is !!! Much respect!!

Even putting their comparisons against Glover aside, Hill vs Jiri is favorable to Hill. Jiri would have to change up his style and completely catch Hill off guard to win, cuz his usual high risk high reward style looks like KO invitations

Jamahal needs to get in shape and he will win against Jiri easy. Cardio is a little bad. Jamahal is a very intelligent striker. He's very refined. His striking is elite. People underestimated him just like they did with Moreno. I had both of them going into the fights. Jiri doesn't seem to understand what he is up against. Jamahal might be better than Jon Jones in that weight class.

Jiri does a lot of unorthodox strikes which i think if he does with Hill will get him caught and possibly put away. I believe it'll be a good fight but I got Jamahal winning in especially if he works on his wrestling to use it at some point in their fight.

Same jiri vs glover was a good fight but ppl forget how many poor iq moments there were by both of them jiri would try unorthodox things and hurt glover multiple times and got so wild he’d square up his hips so glover could take him down and glover pulled guillotine when he hurt jiri and gave up dominant positions like mount multiple times hill was patient calm and showed more skill in his fight be glover I don’t think it was glover being worse bcuz of the first fight

Jiri is the most interesting UFC Champion. Very different personality. But I feel he won't be back before the fall or next winter.

I don't think he needs to be mentioned. Him defending his rightful belt in his next fight is a guarantee, a certainty. And believe me, such certainty is extremely rare in the sport. It's so certain that he's defending his LEGITIMATE belt next that there's no need to mention him.
