11:57 right now Jiren is just flexing his dominance and it's absolutely off the chain. Some asshat posted a direct spoiler comment for the whole season. I've reported. Hopefully it stays gone.

While Hit had Jiren in the time prison, Jiren couldn't be knocked out of the ring because he was frozen in time. To move him would have broken the prison. Hit was just trying to hold him down to keep him from eliminating anyone else.

Exactly! That's why it's a Time Prison. It's design to freeze him in place in time & space. He's not supposed to be able to move which means that he can't be knocked out of the ring. Hit just needed to keep Jiren confined until the tournament ended while the rest of his teammates take on the other members of Jiren's universe. Universe 6 had the numbers so they would have had a better chance of winning. It was a daring & desperate strategy, one that wasn't flawless since it would potentially leave Hit open to interference from the remaining pride troopers but it was a good strategy. Jiren is just too powerful for it to work on.

The reason Hit doesn't strike while Jiren is in his time prison is that Jiren is outside of time so no one can hurt, move or interact with Jiren while he's in there

freiza trolling goku at the start of this episode is one of my favorite moments in the tournament

Hit is one my favorite characters because he's not only powerful, he's also resourceful. Unlike Jiren or other plainly powerful characters, he has an interesting tactic to him. A shame he didn't get more attention.

Fun fact. At the time people didnt believe that hit fell off so they were making theory about how it was one of his clone and he faked it.

I thought he would get to the top but he got eliminated way too quickly and that kinda ruined his character a bit

After all this time I didn’t realize that Goku dislocated his shoulder from Jiren blocking his punch. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Hit was pretty cool in this episode. Sucks he was taken out but there's still plenty more to cover in the tournament.

Freeza really has no concept of how time works. "Time flies when you're destroying universes" like, bro. It feels like it's been hours and it's only been 24 minutes. That's right up there with saying 'This planet is going to blow in 5 (🖐) minutes' and then fighting for another 20 episodes.

@@specialnewb9821 iirc that's dialog that's been added in newer versions of the episodes. i don't think it was in the original English or Japanese dubs. I'm not going to go rewatch the fight multiple times to find out though, so you might be right.

Being frozen in time is different from being paralyzed. He can't move, but others can't move him either. Unless they can overcome the time prison or MAYBE time it with Hit, but Jiren is a lot faster than anyone else.

Light from the fight between Goku and Beerus moved across the entire *infinite sized* universe to the Kais realm, in the span of minutes. Light does not move that fast, but here it does. There is nothing for these scientists to debunk

I agree, it was a little weird that they didn’t try to attack Jiren but later on it showed that it would’ve been pointless anyway. Even when frozen in time Jiren can still react and put out a barrier. Even without the the barrier Jiren can tank attacks without even moving an inch, as we saw in his fight with Goku before going UI.

Jiren is so strong he was straight up brute-forcing his way to hit in the time prison. kinda scary.

They might seen like the bad guys but in their universe Jiren and his team fight for justice that is why he had so little respect for Hit who works as an assassin. Basically Jiren's exact opposite.

the reason they don't go blue is that the form takes a lot of energy and stamina, as such going that form for every fight or fight against enemies they can beat without isn't smart in a battle royale where other opponents whose powers they don't know are around. The only form they can go with no loss in energy or stamina is Super Saiyen 1, and maybe 2 but I don't know how true that is.

Lol you gotta understand even if they rushed Jiren while he was frozen, it still wouldn't have worked cause Jiren is just that powerful . He would've stopped anybody with literally just the force of his eyes or he would've just blown them away powering up . Jiren is just strong asf . The most anybody could've done was blast the ground under him but even then he most likely would've stopped that from happening too .

Why didnt Hit say: "Nows you chance! Push him off!!!"

nobody could interact with jiren while he was stuck in that move. hit effectively had jiren trapped in the pocket dimension he was using. his goal was to hopefully stall jiren in place long enough that the 6th could end with them ost fighters when the timer expired. but jiren was too powerful to contain and overpowered the prison.

They didn't clarify it well, but Hit's technique put Jiren in a prison outside of their time stream. Either an attack wouldn't work, or an attack might have disrupted the technique, freeing him.

Well technically Hit himselg could have landed blows, the problem is that he spent all his energy trying to get a read on Jiren, that when it came time to finally having the chance to at the very least deal some damage, he didn't have the power behind him to do so, he was pretty much tapped out by the time he got him in the prison.

Ok since she hasn't seen this before. Jiren is the most powerful mortal in all of DBS at the time of the T.O.P not even a Destroyer can defeat him and that is in his suppressed state. He shook the entire null realm which is basically infinite "time and space" so it makes sense why hits time manipulation doesn't work on him. His speed is on par with UI goku and Jiren doesn't even possess any god ki or ui and he's that powerful and that fast. He is at bare minimum universal in power in his suppressed state but i would argue probably multiversal even in base.

Hi Melon Hit is warriors of great pride but unlike Goku who constantly relaying on his friends Hit didn't have that connection but know he did have friends that he was willing to protect with his life That way he told the 3 kids to run I love the Freeza call back from Dragon ball z in Dragon ball super nice detail that they did not need to put in but I am still glad they did

As much as I love these reactions, the amount of time Melon gripes about the warriors from other universes tends to linger. These are their universe's strongest fighters. Our universe (the 7th) is the 2nd weakest in the entire cosmos, so many of the others will be inherently stronger fighters. RiBrianne is an example of that. Her character is goofy and can be grating, but she's the strongest in her universe. She's no joke. Gohan failing against the Yardratian is another example of that. For all we know, the Yardratian could just be stronger, plain and simple. But that's just me 🤷🏼‍♂️
