That's nothing wrong. It's a simple and traditional business strategy. How would any newbie business come into competition, if they keep selling at higher prices? It's just common sense. Profit booking after convincing your customers is justified, when you still have the 5th cheapest internet in the world, and that too it's still lower than a decade ago Airtel 299 2gb data back then.

Problems in Airtel at my locale: 1. Midnight to morning 6, no 5G, only 4G. Do whatever you wanna do. Go anywhere. 2. Call drops alot of coming from Jio or VI, though I receive full signal 3. Indoor, 5G reception is too weak. So the speed. Never crossed 300 Mbps 4. Customer care os pathetic 5. Offer vouchers, 1GB 2GB data are not queued, so wasted. And validity is for a day. WT* For all above issues, Jio services are still better but now good due to tariff hike.

@@abhishek4519 Except call clarity I've seen nothing good in Airtel. But Jio gives 500- 700 Mbps indoor & in open spaces in some areas near my house reaches 1.4 Gbps. Call clarity over 4G is superb, 5G lacks stability sometimes.

Jio now is still cheaper than whole 2gb ₹299 plan. Jio ke karan hi india me internet itna price badhane ke baad bhi baaki desho se sasta hai. Saal pe saal paar ho rhe hai, aur tumhe kya lagta hai, jab har chiz ki price badhegi, aur jo 3 saal se badh nahi rahi, wo kbhi nahi badhegi?

Just don't do that brother , first check the connectivity in your area , my dad is really regretting the decision , our home is 3 floors and we don't get even 2g signal on ground and 1st floor literally no network black nil , my dad also purchased bsnl sim with the same thought that they only need incoming and OTP but bsnl is failed into that as well let alone good speeds and good calling

BSNL wifi is okish in my area right now, but we had a bsnl broadband few years ago and let me tell it was very horrible 2MBps speed and very unstable ping

If you have good network of BSNL then get it because it offers 1515 rs 2gb data for 365 days. I am using it and it offers 3G data in Kolkata. Show your power to private company because customer is the king monopoly and duopoly won't be supported by Indian consumer. Support BSNL for India.
