I read a lot that Jin had a hard time during DNA era due to "GCF Tokyo" but if you have a companion animal whom you love as much as life, and has been a part of your family for 12 years, you'd know how hard it was for him to the point that he needed to process his emotions in a song and still diverted the topic after 4 years (he literally ran away from the table/conversation in the ITS clip). Since he lost many loved ones (pets, old friends), seeing him being happy with JK & Bam makes me grateful. Their "remote island" will be full of animals for sure 💗💛💙 PS. We can only guess how much jjangu meant to Jin. Even now I can still feel that he hasn't really gotten over it. Seokjin gives me that feeling that he might be nice to everybody, can easily feel empathy to others, is very polite to a fault and offends nobody, but in reality, he is that type of person who might be amicable to everyone, but keeps his distance strategically and doesnt really let anyone "in". I mean, he only shows a portion of himself and his sorrows each time he talks to the camera, but I can still feel he is only showing this side of him that has 'cope up' with their deaths. Jin might not hold on to regrets and easily forgets things, he might not harbor bad feelings to those people who has offended/belittled him in the past, but I think it is only because those people or events doesnt matter to him. But when he lost something that's actually precious to him, he still fails to move on and is just compartmentalizing. I think this is what Jin meant when he said he always had this dark side of him that he tries to hide, because people usually only wants to see the bright and happy/jolly side of him/as an idol.

@@minsu1110 That's how I see him, too. Especially after that In The Soop clip as if a slight mention of JJangu still breaks his heart as much as before... There are some people who "vow" never to have pets again because the pain is too unbearable. I'm not saying Jin is like this because I don't know and it might be because of practical reasons like being busy, but I think the end goal of his grieving/healing journey will be to open his heart again to love another pet since he clearly loves being around animals. That's my wish for his birthday.

I agree...esply ITS I could tell like u said he was literally running away from the conversation, almost like he was afraid he would break into tears if he continues to stay a second longer. It's so heartbreaking to watch. Actually I just hope that there is someone who really knows him and whom he can bare his heart out to, without feeling like he needs to hide and cover up.

The ones with the biggest hearts are usually the ones who have endured the most heartbreaks. This video brought vortex of different emotions within me; I was sad while seeing Jin playing with Jjangu and the sugar gliders, but then when Bam's cuts followed, it illuminated rays of hope in me. I wish Jin all the happiness and love he deserves. Happy birthday to him. And again, dear, thank you. This was a simple yet a very impressive video.

i remembered his teary voice when he talked about his song tonight on his vlive and how he got so sad he abruptly ended the live. that shows how devastated he was when jjanggu and his sugar gliders left him. and i can see that jin is scared to get another pet because he is afraid of losing them again. i’m just happy that bam came along, and we can clearly see now how he enjoys playing with him. 💜

i miss jin's pets, the way he always post jjangu on twt. when he talks about how delicate his sugar gliders should be taken care of. jin loves them so much, a space in his heart no one can replace. i know it hurts so much that till this day, he can't talk about them without getting emotional, still i'm happy he finds comfort from the other members' pets, he really loves animals.

You always know how to cheer us up and you're never over the top in expressing your belief that Jin and JK has that very special bond. As always, thank you for this gift. I love seeing how Jin and JK are such good pet parents. Last November 2020, we had to put down our 14-year-old toy poodle. He slept in my arms after the vet first sedated him, and then finally gave the second injection that stopped his heart. I was bawling. I could not stop crying for days on end. It is a very painful experience, like having a family member die on you, and the grief is real. Seeing this clip made me realise how much Jin and JK loves/loved their pets and it's heartwarming. This is a great video that also reflected your recent fiction of AO3 about grief. Love it. Thanks, Q.

Every time I listening Tonight, I always remember how BIG Jin's love for his pets is. but, losing your lovely pets for 3 years in a row (Jjanggu in 2017, Eomuk in 2018, and Odeng in 2019), I can't imagine the pain and the heartbreak he was going through during that time. Especially Jjanggu that always with him even before BTS debuted🥺

On top of that, it's exactly at the time when their schedule is crazy, so he can't really show his sadness until Tonight and that Vlive. As a person who prefers pets than kids, I can't imagine how tough it was.

I miss Jjangu , odeng and Eomuk so much. The way Jin love and cherished his pet, I can't even imagine the pain he was going through in that time. Jjangu was with him for 12 years. That means he is literally his family. Now I know how and why he made a song dedicated for his late pets. I always cry when I listened to it.....🥺😔😔😔💕 And I really think that's why he thought to create RJ. He said he was thinking about it for 2 years before they created Bt21 charachters. If you watch Rookie Bangtan, which was shot around 2013-2014, you can see Jin was already drawing RJ ever since then! It's on the episode about fansign. He's one consistent man for sure.

I cried so hard because i understand pain of losing your beloved and long time partner pets I lost my dog who was with me for 9 years, i lost my parrot who was with me for almost 6 years Ah i can't stop crying while thinking about them I understand you seokjin i really do hope you get millions of reasons to smile everyday

4:48 still breaks my heart to watch this moment. He obviously struggling to talk about his pets that have gone to sleep eternally. I can relate to that, it is never easy to talk about especially if your pets have been with u for a long time. I've lost my cats many times due to sickness or eaten by snakes, so whenever my other cats gave birth to the same color as the ones that had died, it brings back painful memories.

Thank you for this video❤️. I watched it 4-5 times, every time wanted to say something but ended up sobbing and reading comments, even now can’t gather my thoughts. Lucky to have you rooting for JinKook❤️. Jin’s pets also would be happy watching and blessing them from wherever they are.

I saw the other side of Seokjin when he talked about Odeng who had left after Janggu and Eoumuk, it hurt so much even though he's a very cheerful person.it hurts so much when we have to part with the animals we love so much, I used to have a cat, but one year later I had to part with mycat, I cried a lot at that time, especially since he's been with jjanggu for 12 years, it must be very sad. I cry when he talks about Odeng, because I can feel what he feels. but I'm happy because they must be in heaven now.

@@moonbathingrite yes, he was having fun. glad to know that he had so much fun in LA. aside from having concerts again and be with army, he was so happy with the heart and moon surprise from army and surprise birthday cake at the iHeartRadio jingle ball. he was also able to go fishing (weverse post), visit Six Flags and shoot his new cute song. the song was short but sweet.

Jin has given so much love and care in this world. He has shown so much adoration for the people and pets around him that sometimes I think its unfair. Why cant people reciprocate that same amount of love? When I first heard about BTS, and heard basic demographic information, everyone would bring up V's grandma passing or Suga's pet etc. But no one even thinks to mention Jin's Gliders or pets or family passing. Everything that I found out about Jin was through my own research. Its as if people dont realise how much love he gives without asking for it back and that makes me so mad. Just cuz Jin dosnt make a big deal out of it doesnt mean we should dismiss it either. We should try to give as much adoration and respect back!

It is so heartbreaking to see JIN still in pain of the loss of his beloved pets. I had to give up my cat for the sake of my brothers health and never to have a pet again. Im still missing my cat and i understand JIN’s pain and longing.

Its so sad that he lost 3 pets. I never had a pet, so i dont know the feelings. But still, its an understanding that it was really hard for him.. Hope geokmul is healthy now..
