VORTEX - Lyrics:
Like A Lunatic, Frantic
The Man In The Room Looks So Dramatic
With A Left Shoe On His Right Foot
This Spiral Traffic Feels Too Traumatic, Too Traumatic
Quiet
The Man Is Wandering Around
Where's The Way Out He Never Found?
And Inside
There's A Ball Made Of Lead
It’s Rolling And Rumbling On Parquet
Oh How Heavy Is The Ball!
It Bends His Spine To The Very Ground
Neither His Nor Another
Enormous, Ludicrous
Oh How Heavy Is His Thought!
In A Half An Hour Or So
It Crushed The Floor
And Smashed The Man's Toes
Oh How Heavy Is His Thought!
In A Half An Hour Or So
It Crushed The Floor
And Smashed The Man's Soul
(Whirl) Through The Black Hole In The Floor
(Spin) I Begin My Whirl
(Swirl) I'm A Driftwood With No Strength
(Spin) Without Soul, With No Will
Like A Feather I Travel Down (A Spiral Staircase)
One More Loop Through Abyss (Where Stairs Are Erased)
Like A Feather I Travel Down (A Spiral Staircase)
Falling Deeper Than It Is (All Stairs Are Erased)
Through Rapids And Stones
I Came Like Water And Like Wind I Go
Through Rapids And Stones
I Came Like Water And Like Wind I Go
Spin! Swirl!
Whirl! Spin! Swirl!
SWIRL
Whirl! Spin! Swirl!

Good talented band, but I dont consider this type song something that will stand the test of time, and honestly the comments on here seem to worship this singer, but after a solid 10 to 15 years of singers going from singing to screaming, it just seems about as formulaic as is humanly possible at this point

  • @noahsmith9025

    @noahsmith9025

Formulaic? Maybe so, but still executed really well. I'm more blown away by all the live performances I've seen of them absolutely pulling thier songs off. I've been following them for 3 years now and the fact that thier music hasn't gotten shittier is also refreshing. It seems like so many bands in heavier genres come out strong and just go downhill fast. To each thier own

The bass and guitar sliding around each other before "swirl" amazing. God you are good song writers, romen and Eugene outdid them selfs in this one. Though their last drummer Dmitry Kim was amazing, I agree, Vlad is better. The best part of this story however is the fact that their previous drummer, Kim was an assistant producer with Max Morton on this upcoming album, working closely with Vlad on the drums. So, their last drummer, left the band and later worked with sound engineering for their current drummer. Seriously, you can't make this shit up, it was just meant to be! As amazing as the 4 members of Jinjer are, they would be the first to brag about the people surrounding and supporting them. To me, that reflects on the members of this band. What are they like if they're getting this much from those around them?

He was their sound engineer/studio drummer before the King of Everything album, which that drummer had a terrible accident leaving him paralyzed from the waist down, Dmitry chose to fill the spot and be the drummer for said album and be on tour with the band. Vlad sent a few audition videos and ended up being chosen which the live session of Pisces was done to showcase his drumming, showing Jinjer fans that he was able to fulfill the bar that Dmitry had set. Jinjer has had 5 drummers, Vlad possibly being the best one, Though Dmitry was very good, and the drummer previous to him had a lot of potential only suffering to a horrible accident.

Next time try to single out just the guitar when you listen and notice how each time the song makes a change he takes the current riff and slowly introuduces different notes to it until it becomes the new riff. It's like the music is alive. Then the ending is just a small piece of each riff used through out the song. Who writes music like that?? It's mind blowing when you finally realize it

Omg, the groove in the beginning is so smoooooth. Tati's vocals are so diverse and Eugene's slides at the end are crazy. Roman, Vlad and Eugene are machines, so tight yet so expressive. Time to look at these lyrics and watch another 10x!!

The harder to digest at first... ...the more you´ll love it in the end! Maybe a strange thing to say, but: When i first listened to the Album "King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime" by Faith No More, i kinda hated it... ...nowadays i keep coming back to it atleast once a month! ;) strange, because FNM aint metal...more rock, sometimes even pop, but... (...atleast it ain´t Nu-Metal-Shit...Numetal just stole what RATM and FNM did...and they stole just the bad parts! ;) )

@@hardyTRSI exactly what i mean. Some music you have to get to know, before you like it, and if its harder to listen to, then it often means that it is more complex and/or are touching you on a deeper level than usual, which makes it so much better.

This is a perfect example of what Jinjer does. The first listen, I'm kind of stunned and I 'like' it but I'm unsure... by the third listen I'm picking up enough to love the track, but still there is so much there. 20 listens in and I loved the song long ago, but I'm still picking up small details in the track. This honestly is that one thing that makes these 4 musicians so special. They can lay down a simple 'in your face' groove, that at the same time takes multiple listens to completely dissect. If this track is a 'clue' to their upcoming album, it's going to be something to behold.

Jinjer has leveled up in their songwriting. The Riff at 2:08 is just nasty. Channeling the song Roundabout from Yes there and that's after the madness of the Riff sequence just before it. Where they've Really leveled up is the way they seamlessly transition the different parts of the song. Sometimes with genius time changes, sometimes with pauses to infer greater power. But the transition into 2:08 was just nasty. Start at at 1:50 to get the true feel. It was a very natural note step down held for the whole beat into a staccato like galloping, but the rhythm section is allowed to carry the weight of the Riff dropping down a half octave and galloping back up with a florish to end the Riff and cycle back down again. Just as sick and Nasty as it gets. But then it it goes into an interlude, swaying with a version of the opening music linking beginning to end. And during that time your thinking "Damn this is badass songwriting" and then "WHIRL, SPIN, SWIRL!" and you're stunned and then the drop down into the closing breakdown, her vocals Crushing it with "SWIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRL" and everyone I've seen listen to this makes the same stink face followed by "Fuck Yeah!" or "Yessssss" or "Hell fucking Yeahhhh!" Or all the above. And then it ends. And you I and everyone is like, "Dude! That was Next Level, that was Badass! Holy Shit!" And they do be correct.
