The WPA 9-Ball China Open is a sanctioned event by World Pool Billiard Association, and it was previously named The World 9-Ball China Open. The event has been supported by Peoples’ Government of Tangzhen Pudong New Area and the Chinese Billiards & Snooker Association (CBSA) throughout the years since 2009.
However, the the pandemic has been put the 9-Ball China Open on hiatus for nearly 4 years and finally the event has returned in last autumn in Pudong Tangzhen, Shanghai as 2023 was the 12th of the event, the event has been held at Pudong Tangzhen Culture & Sports Center in Shanghai since 2016 after 7 years at Shanghai Pudong Yuanshen Stadium.

Such a tough match for Kelly. Nothing went her way. As the saying goes "the balls know who's winning." Jin Hyeju played fantastic and I love seeing the respect between the players. I commend Kelly for coming back; she had to work for it and she did. Intense match. Thank you Alison!

Straight in scratches on the break is her fault. She did that 3 times.
Jin Hyeju is a phenomenal player. Perfect stroke and amazing cue ball control!!!! She deserved the win!!!!

와, 4대 0에서 6대6까지 만들어 낸 Kelly Fisher 선수 대단하네요.. 그리고, 좀 손쉽게 경기를 이끌어갈 수 있을 거라 생각했던 진혜주 선수가 중간중간에 아쉬운 플레이가 좀 있었는데, 그래도 경기를 이겨서 다행이네요..
