Jingdezhen, The Porcelain Capital

Jingdezhen (or the Town of Jingde) is a prefecture-level city, previously a town, in northeastern Jiangxi province, China, with a total population of 1,554,000 (2007), bordering Anhui to the north. It is known as the "Porcelain Capital" because it has been producing quality pottery for 1700 years.
Jingdezhen was named one of top 24 national historical and cultural cities of the People's Republic of China on February 28, 1982.[5]
In 2004, Jingdezhen celebrated the millennium of its becoming the porcelain capital and its assuming its present name.

Wonderful video. Well filmed. Background music is relaxing. Have watched it a number of times. Thank you for sharing your holiday with people who will probably never travel there. I love Jingdezhen porcelain. It is great that they keep all those skills alive to make these beautiful vases now.

There is basically no difference between an antique vase that sells for 40 million and a vase made here, same clay, same firing, same artisans. No one has improved on this. I would go into this place longing for pattern and leave feeling like someone who ate too much chocolate ! Would love to go ,, nice the music instead of the usual noise
