Seating Capacity: The Jimny has the capacity to seat up to four people.
Ground Clearance: It comes with a ground clearance of 210mm.
Boot Space: The India-spec Jimny has a boot loading capacity of 208 litres, which can be increased to 332 litres by tumbling down the rear seats.
Engine and Transmission: Propulsion duty is carried out by a 1.5-litre petrol engine (105PS/134Nm) with idle-engine start/stop. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic. It comes with a 4WD drivetrain.

Engine and Transmission: The 4WD variants of the Mahindra Thar get a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine (150PS/320Nm) and a 2.2-litre diesel engine (130PS/300Nm), both paired with a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. The RWD variants get a smaller 1.5-litre diesel engine (118PS/300Nm) instead of the bigger one which only comes with a six-speed manual transmission.
Features: Features on board the Thar include a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, halogen headlights with LED DRLs, electrically controlled AC, and steering-mounted controls. Mahindra has also included a washable interior floor as well as detachable roof panels.
Safety: On the safety front, it gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill descent control, traction control, rear parking sensors and a front seat belt reminder.
Rivals: The Mahindra Thar is a rival to the Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Jimny. It also rivals similarly priced compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
