When I was in my early twenties I had the privilege of seeing all the Osmonds at the Oregon state fair. My friends and I were camping out in the front row. Unbeknownst to me, my friends had a back stage pass and disappeared and ended up meeting them all and had a great time visiting with them (we were all huge fans). But they didn't have a way for me to join them. So the Osmonds graciously decided Jimmy was going to sing to me during the show and I was never so surprised when he came through the audience singing and then made his way around, took my hand and then brought me on stage singing Stevie Wonders Isn't she lovely. He eventually gave me a kiss on the cheek. My friends were busy taking happy snaps. I will never forget it and it demonstrated to me what beautiful people that they are, not just tremendously talented, but full of love and consideration for their fans. God bless Jimmy and his family. Prayers for them and that God will hold him in the palm of His Hand

What a wonderful thing for him to do! I met all of them except for Jimmy & Wayne in 1973 at their Apts in Provo, Utah during the height of their fame. Such a wonderful family. God Bless Jimmy.

Sadly strokes can be very bad, leaving you unable to speak, read or do anything for yourself, But you can be lucky too and have minor symptoms or long term disabilities, so speed in getting to hospital is vital - familiy members need to be vigilant.

Strokes can leave people totally disabled. One of my twin brothers had a stroke a little over a year ago and is totally disabled. He lives in long term care as it would not be possible for him to live at home as he needs 24 hr care. He is paralyzed on one side and can not walk or use his hand on that side. He is now suffering from dementia and does not recognize family members. He is only 72.

It depends upon if it is a stroke caused by a clot (reversible if treatment is quick) or if it is the result of a bleed--which is permanent

I love Mr osmond my husband and i use to see Him in Branson a lot. when we first got married we spent our honeymoon in Branson in 2004 and saw Jimmy in a walgreens he is so down to earth and so nice last time we was in Branson was right before his stroke we was so sad and heartbroken but we are so glad he is still with us and with his family,

It’s such a shame the Osmond family is blighted with major health issues, they are good people but they work too hard. It’s lovely to see Jimmy again and I wish all the very best to him and the Osmond family. Thank you for all the joy and memories you have given us😊

Seems like the only way they were willing to stop touring and finally get to stay home with their families was if God allowed them to have health issues. I am so sorry for their struggles--but so glad they finally get to stay home and be the family men they have always wanted to be--with their OWN families, and not just their siblings. These issues are really blessings in disquise to them.

Oh god bless him. His stroke has definitely had a bad affect on him but he has the love of his family and fans around the world. My, the brothers have sure had bad luck with all their health problems. Stay strong Jimmy. We love you ❤

I remember Jimmy being in Panto in Swansea.The cast came to visit the children's wards i the local hospital Jimmy noticed that the tree didnt have lights we explainec previous had broken & we couldnt afford to replace. He put his hand in his pocket and gave us money to buy some...very kind man.

Our family treasure a video message Jimmy did for my sister here in England as she is disabled and was unable to get to his Moonriver and Me show due to being snowed in. He had driven up to Essex alone through the bad weather and told me that 'We never want to let anyone down!' ! I am so grateful to him for giving me that time and the message to my sister and family.

You are one of the reasons why he felt he had to hide for so many years. This clip did not break my heart. It was a massive relief to see Jimmy looking good and doing things he enjoys. I have had to deal with reading the comments from "fans" regarding Alan as well. Life never stays the same. It moves forward and we all age and we all struggle. It's making the most from the challenges that matters. Alan & Jimmy are champions. It's time for Osmonds fans to grow up.

I had not heard this. I'm so glad he's recovering. His 45 single release "Mother of Mine" was and always has been a pivotal recording for me...losing my mother at young age around the time the song came out...helped me to find peace with here. Thank you Jim!! Your legacy will always shine!!

Oh no, I hadn't heard about his stroke! Jimmy is only 60 years old now so he was only 55 in 2018 when it happened. I am so glad that he was able to survive that. He has a beautiful family, I'm sure that they have been a great source of strength for him.

I wanted to marry Jimmy when I was about 7 years old lol... I knew I was too young for the other Osmond brothers but I thought just maybe Jimmy might wait for me to grow up lol. The Osmonds made us all happier, better people. They were amazing in concert (I saw them twice, brag brag.). All the best to Jimmy!

I knew his stroke had affected his speech and left his right side week. He had had a stroke before. It is so vital to get to the hospital right away. Medications can be given to lessen affects of a stroke. He is doing remarkably well, I wouldn’t be surprised in time with speech therapy if he could be able to speak and God only knows. He is very fortunate his limitations weren’t worse. ❤

Jimmy is a good man.

I learned what a stroke was and it’s debilitating effects when my mother suffered one. She lived for another 15 years but her left side was compromised and it changed her personality. Still her but slower to answer slower to laugh. Hopefully I will recognize the signs if it happens to me. The quicker the doctors can attend to a stroke victim the better.

I think back to Little Jimmy Osmond and his hit in Australia 'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' and smile. He looks a lot more ill now than in a British 2020 interview he gave. I pray to God he has the strength to return from this.

I seriously believe with how nostalgias been hot for over a decade now. That had Jimmy not had his stroke.He quite possibly could have made an album in the same vain as Donny did. That more than likely would have went to number one. .

I didnt reconise him at first. oh jimmy but isnt he still good looking .they have worked so hard from very young age jimmy kept them toghther hes very bright spark they all love one and other very much they have stayed toghther through think and thin you just dont get familys like that any more unfortunately if you do not many lofe to you all the wounderfull osmonds x❤

Jimmy why are you parting your hair on the opposite site, no gray for you. I knew when your brother said you wouldn’t be performing that your voice was affected. Please know that if your having signs of a stroke it is so important To go to hospital ASAP. You are still you, just channeling your talent in a different way.
