The thing with money is that the more you have the more you worry. I remember an interview with the founder of IKEA he said "- When the first million came in, I felt "oh my god now I'm really independent". It was a fantastic experience. But as the first million eventually grew to 100 million, more worries began to accumulate. - There was nothing that made me more independent anymore, but rather more dependent. You start thinking about whether you live in the right place and have to pay everything in taxes and so on..."

Really great content from Jimmy O Yang and Nigel. Surprised about all the work that's put into their standup routines. I really liked Jimmy's "Good Deal" standup special, it was the perfect time(~1 hour) and the real great content/delivery it just made you feel like you're just taking a journey thru his life and having a good time and laugh with a friend. Nigel could definitely learn a thing or 2 from Jimmy for his standup but glad to see Uncle Roger and the podcast getting more popular!

"90% of your pain comes from comparison". I HONESTLY had to remind myself that and after so many years of practicing that mindset, it really helps my mental health. I think when i was younger, I wanted to be "the BEST ART DIRECTOR/ANIMATOR" but when you keep beating yourself down from comparing to other artists, you just gotta calm the fuck down and focus on yourself. I still want to be a good art director, and now I'm on my way directing my own works for myself. And it feels great. I don't even compare towards anyone anymore. I just know what's good art and see that people would like it once you know what the audience want. Setting boundaries to yourself also helps, especially when it comes to social media.
