Another outstanding job of getting a casual one on one conversation with a true NASCAR legend. I love the non- scripted walk around format. The fact that he wants to use his old hauler to race again shows the no- nonsense kind of guy Jimmy is. I just turned 55, this Era of racing is what I remember as a kid. Happy holidays from northern California.

I always enjoyed watching the independents racing. They were back in the pack or mid pack but they put on a good show. Each spot gained meant more money.

JD Mcduffie was great. So sad to lose him at Watkins Glen! Was watching the race as a kid when he crashed.

Such an unassuming guy that loves racing.

Mr. Means is one of the greatest I have ever heard stories of back when I got into racing in the early 90s. Some of his little tricks like the intake pieces that I think he called sliders. The adjustments that would happen on track at the super speedway such as the hydraulic rear spoiler lol. This video brings back some awesome memories. At 36 years old and having some sponsor help for my sprint car racing I would love to help him get the truck together and take a car to race Darlington in 2023

NASCAR oil in a can! That's a collectable now. Another great interview and video! That would be super cool if he could take the truck to the track as his hauler.

An outstanding video guys. I remember back in the 70s at Darlington, there wasnt a fence around the garage area. After the race we would go down and check out the hot beat up race cars. Man was it great!! Thanks Guys.

Someone took the AAFES box from a military base. That stands for Army Air Force Exchange Service. Wow, that brings back memories. Loved the video. Love when you see those guys eyes light up when they remember things.

The G body Era of Nascar has to be my favorite. Dale's wrangler Monte Carlo is still my favorite car to ever grace a nascar track. Handsome Harry Gant and his #33 skoal car is a close second lol

In Brock Baird's book titled "JD", there's a picture of Ol Blue. It's sitting in Bailey's garage with their late model on it. They got it from Kenny, fixed it up and use it.

Wonder if old Smut has any of his orange chevells that he use to race at BIR when he lived in Huntsville? He raced against all the legends, the Allison’s, Farmer, Burger Jones, Lawley, and Bo and Donnie Anthony, Dave Mader and many others. He was always a crowd favorite.

I can remember when Hershel McGriff (2023 NASCAR HOF Inductee) used to haul his race cars around the PNW in a converted Crown School Bus!

New or old I've always found the transport trucks fascinating. If only the old ones could talk. Can you imagine the stories? 😆

My hubby won all but 2 races for 2yrs. By not cheating, but maximizing every part on the car ! Did not have a lot of money but used his brains to study the parts and make them work as intended for drag racing !
