Just wanting to upgrade it the year 2022.. in the Tejano world we lost a great voice and I used to call him the Tom Jones of the Tejano world! Hosted with him several times even when he converted to Christianity and did several appearances back in the Tejano world he gave his heart to GOD and made JESUS his personal life and savior…your singing with the Angels in their choir now my Brotha! Love Jimmy’s music since my teenage years

There is no question that Jimmy Edward was the best . Not only in Tejano music but he is up there with quality voices like Tom Jones, Elvis and Engelbert. It's just sad that Mexican American musicians don't get the exposure. Here they're not American enough and in some of the difusoras playing Mexican music they're not Mexican enough. Instead Banda groups that don't have the talent tejano groups have get more air play. RIP Jimmy and Thanks for all the great memories and music you left us. And Thanks to all the Tejano music groups. Zeke Herrera eran los mas chingones, I also knew about the lack of exposure but respected el talento. Pero eran de nosotros los Tejanos y Chicano/Mexicanos And I’m from Tucson.. they’d come to El Casino Ball Room, Del Río and Nanos and Jam puras Rolas Originales. God Rest His Soul 🙏🏼🎤
