Within the last year, I watched a documentary about how the pyramids were made. They have uncovered and translated an ancient papyrus that said that the Nile river was much closer to pyramids and they were able to divert the waters to the pyramids to help transport stone. So the block of stone used were approx 1 ton bricks. Egyptologists were able to determine that it was easily feasible to transport stone the way it was described in this special ancient papyrus. It was a journal entry from a pyramid foreman who was overseeing the construction of the temple. It was super fascinating to watch. Anyway, my point is, their was a body of water that most likely extended from Mauritania to Egypt. The point was that their was a massive body of water next to the pyramids that obviously is not longer there today.

@@bigbangrafa8435 Because Jimmy is a fraud who literally lies on camera. When you spend your life studying the subject, then hear a muppet like him, one might be irritated. Here's a few examples: - on this podcast he said the idea of pyramid being tombs was made up by the XIX century European explorers...in realty, Herodotus told us they are tombs since the 5th century B.C., the Egyptians themselves told us they are tombs and the pyramid of Menkaure has a an inscription carved on its granite casing, literally saying Menkaure was buried inside. - he said there are no texts inside any pyramid - not true, look at the pyramid texts, found inside the 5th and 6th dynasty pyramids - he said no bodies were ever found in any pyramid - which again, is false - in one of his video he said Egyptologists claim the Great Pyramid is older then the Step Pyramid. Once again, it's the other way around... The guy is clueless. He doesn't care about science, history nor logic, he cares about the views and money.

@@stephenhurd1489 Why does Islam attract more converts than any other religion? One major reason is that vIslam says: "refugees welcome" to those fleeing failing liberal social and religious institutions. Let me explain. Liberal secularists promote the idea that their norms for regulating marriage, family, and religion are ideal. Nevertheless, statistical data indicates that wherever a society is governed by liberal secular norms, people stop marrying, having children, and practising religion. Put differently, the liberal is fundamentally a hypocrite - despite what he or she might say, no liberal person is actually interested in being part of a liberal marriage, a liberal family, or a liberal religion. Matters are different when it comes to Islam. Muslims also promote the idea that their norms for regulating marriage, family, and religion are ideal. Moreover, statistical data indicates that wherever a society is governed by Islamic norms, it boosts marriage, birth rate, and religious practice. Put differently, the Muslim is actually interested in being part of a Muslim marriage, a Muslim family, and the Muslim religion. The current era is an era of refugees fleeing from liberalism. Liberal marriage, family, and religion have collapsed. As a result, refugees from liberal societies seek marriage partners abroad, and if they practice any type of religion , it is a non-liberal version whose centers are located abroad. Islam is the most obvious choice for them.

I have a theory that Atlantis was probably comparable to something like Rome but because of how old it was the old myths probably exaggerated lots of it’s amazingness based on the fact that most myths probably came from people who were probably hunter gatherers or small local tribal groups that lived in the area. I would say it was probably like putting a early medieval civilization in a bronze age environment.

Dogger bank, off the east of England, in the North sea, was once an island that got submerged, and before was just part of the landscape, and then ice melt made the North sea more like a delta, and then it got submerged, and some people say a tsunami happened, and also, they say it may have been chalk that got worn away and like a dam it burst, and some also say the same thing happened at Gibraltar, and before that the Mediterranean sea was land like the North sea, and both got flooded out, so Atlantis would have been a place, but I would guess Atlantis was in the Mediterranean, because we know that civilizations were advanced in that area.

Not an Island, Doggerland was a deep valley that sat between the British Isles and the rest of Europe during the Ice Age. It was flooded during the Younger Dryas, turning Britain into an Island. I could care less who thinks im crazy or whatever 🤷🏻. But this just brought a memory back. When i was 6 years old, our class went out on a hike to see a couple of caves, and pretty much just have a day outside. This is in Cuba. When we were leaving, the walk was a bit steep going up a trail, and we would take a bit of a break. When we stopped for a couple of minutes, to talk about what we liked about the hike etc, i looked to my left where you can see the tree canopy. Then far away, about a few miles id say, i could see a beautiful castle-like area that looked out of a fairy tale. The water around it was shimmering and it just looked perfect/beautiful. This was in 1995. I can't forget the image i believe i saw til this day. I don't know what i saw, but it deffinetly looked like some kind of civilization. Maybe the exhaustion, being a bit hungry, allowed me to see some sort of "mirage". That's how I've taken it. Only God knows. I didn't have a TV, and played with stick, stones and slingshots...meaning, there's no way that my brain was being tricked by anything that movies/tv can make a kid wonder and eventually have a dream about. It couldn't have been a dream, bc who remembers a dream from when they were kids or even a year ago? My life as a kid was very free, no trauma that could have caused that moment. I will always remember that day and that hike, and will always wonder about that area.

What I've heard in this episode about atlantis and more is purely jumping to conclusions. For example, it's completely plausible that the underground cities were made for defense- in anticipation of attacks, not in reaction to them. he said there's accomodations for livestock. imagine trying to raise and feed them their entire lives in that enclosed space. nope. Alot of what this guy says about the geologic formation in africa does not support his views directly and he is asking for hidden motives when you can probably just apply occam's razor. Just because there's salt somewhere doesn't mean it was under the ocean. There's salt in freshwater lakes and runoff, which could have gathered in the depressions and been left behind when it dried up.

The ancient civilisation of Minoa, located on the island of Crete famously was destroyed in a volcanic eruption and subsequent tsunami in around 1500 BC, halving the island in size. This civilisation was known to be incredibly wealthy and a hub for trade. 1000 years go by until, in 320 BC, when Plato first makes reference to a great civilisation that sunk beneath the sea known as Atlantis. He claims that his ancestor had been told by Egyptian priest 300 years prior of this great civilisation. The thing is though, in around 1000 BC, the Greek dark ages occurred, which is an event that ended with the destruction of many ancient texts of the Mediterranean societies. So there is a very high likely hood that the story of Minoa got twisted and contorted over the centuries so that when it eventually did get told to Plato’s ancestor, the story was completely different. Plato himself also may have added some things to the story. That is what I think happened.

Hi, I used to live in Mauritania. I never went to the Richat structure, as it's in an area that we were not allowed to go to for security reasons, but I met people who had been there, and when I visited places in the desert in the north of the country (not too far from the Structure) with a guide, he told us that they find sea shells all around the Richat structure, which is another clue that that part of the Sahara was probably at one time under the sea. Also, I've been told that the northern area of the structure are cliffs and that you can see where ancient river / waterfalls probably came over those high grounds, which would have been a great source of fresh water. In the account from Solan he apparently speaks of higher ground to the north of Atlantis, as well as other details that coincide with the formation we see at the Richat structure. I was told that as the structure is spread out over such a large area that when you're there on the ground it doesn't look like much, and there's nothing really to see. It can only be seen well when flying over it in a plane, or from satellite images as shown in this video.

Great work Jimmy. I want to interject a few more findings (plus a few of my thoughts) on Atlantis. One, a certain government agency was doing some testing around the globe of sights that had magnetic anomalies and the Richat Structure was one of those locations. They have since disclosed that they checked that area but have not yet released the findings but basically stated that the structure has some mysterious activity within it. The founder of Atlantis was Poseidon. For those of you who may not be aware, Poseidon (the Greek god of the sea and more) is the equivalent to Enki (EA) of the Anunna (Sumerian) pantheon. He is also the co-creator of mankind according to seminal texts of Sumer/Akkadian/Babylonian/etc texts. These texts were later taken and used (but changed partially in some areas and drastically in others) to create the Old Testament Bible stories. Everything from Edin (Eden) to the Flood story. What are the chances that the most important figure of the Anunna (Enki/EA), happens to be identified as Poseidon (Greek god) and original co-creator (with his sister wife Ninhursag) of humans and it's in Africa, Where Enki ruled over the Abzu? This is not a joke. This is not phony. This is real history and needs to be properly researched. Enki also had a tie to Egypt, where he was Osiris/Horus with his sister wife, Isis! And his brother was, wait for it..... Enlil, YHWH (OT Bible) angry/vengeful god of the Jews, Set and Zeus! Those are research and facts above. Here are my thoughts on this. *Atlantis was more than likely more than one island, spread across the Earth so there could be several locations still fitting the original details *Everything we know today, is based on Atlantis as the start. In other words, Atlantis is where our (mankind's) history began. More than likely the (Younger Dryas~ 12K years ago) flood story is where that part ended and the other civilizations started (Egypt, Mesoamerica, Native American) as the inhabitants eventually branched out to those areas to set up civilizations. Osiris (which is a Greek name), his actual name was Asar or Aser (and other forms of this name) and Isis along with Set settled in Khem (modern day Egypt). Isis was known as "Aset". They (according to Anton Parks-French researcher/author) encountered the builders of the Sphinx (you can research that part). Eventually, Asar, Aset and Set take over Egypt. The war between Horus and Set happens after the death and rebirth of Asar (resurrection from Aset-original Jesus story). Horus then leaves (probably to Mesoamerica and become Quetzalcoatl/Kulkikan (Anton Parks believes this is still Enki/Asar) I believe Horus may be the son of Enki (Ningishzida) or Thoth/Hermes?! Not sure. It could be either Thoth or Asar. Either way, possible start to small pockets of people that eventually become the Olmec civilization. Obviously one of them starts either small groups that lead to the Ubaid and other factions that eventually make up Sumer, in the fertile crescent. This we know today as the first civilization but there were small sects, not only in the Middle East region but in Asia, Mesoamerica and possibly even North America. So if YD era lasted about 1300 years and then temps started to warm up, it would have probably taken a while for things to return to "normal". So even 10000 bc - ~2k (YD and return to normal)= 8K bc. Ubaid started around 6500bc. Then Sumer around 3,500bc. Sumer is the key (to what we know through mainstream) because they basically got everything right on the first try! We use many of their firsts still today in our society; laws, schools, irrigation, writing, metalurgy, animal husbandry, and horticulture. This all was "handed down by the gods". Anyone who believes this is just human ingenuity (we were just naturally born with this from day one) is not being realistic.

The Thames, the Siene and the Rhine rivers all used to run into eachother before reaching the Atlantic somewhere in what is now the English Channel.
I am from Mauritania 🇲🇷, and I used to struggle to say where I am from, because Mauritania is not a known country. But thanks to this video, it made it easier for me.
This is why love the joe rogan podcast they talk about everything you do t hear on other podcasts and joe really does a hell of lost of research, and all the subjects

Time to challenge Randall and Jimmy to a coin toss. It remains possible that neither location was an Atlantean city possibly called "Atlantis". Both could have been referenced by other names but were indeed Atlantean cities themselves. Very ponderable I'd think.

It could possibly be in Florida. I was reading about some research done by archeologists in northwest Florida, That said the was a submerged civilization underneath Blackwater River .

There are lots of elephant skeletons and pottery there as well. Pottery indicates people and elephant bones align with the tale that Atlantis had lots and lots of elephants.

@@zak283 such a simple thought that most never consider, good job man honestly the simplest answer is usually the correct one. I think the world of Randall Carlson and Graham Hancock but the matching of this location to the tale of atlantis buries any other theory of the location of the capital of atlantis. That said, I still think they had outposts all over the world.

He's not passioned about history, he's misinforming people by making them believe in some grand civilization. Drowning people further in fantasy land rather than facing the world in its intricacy. The Egyptians built everything, including the Great Pyramids.

@@smakkdat I invite you to watch World of Antiquity on Brien Foerster's claim about Baalbek with a critical mind. You are right that it might not settle the debate, but I think you will observe some massive shortcomings in his logic that put in question the solidity of his reasoning (not saying that there's no ancient civilizations, but most candidates that have been proposed ain't it).
Legend has it Jimmy is still just clarifying. Great energy though haha
