Jimin made history with "Like Crazy" at #1 Billboard Hot 100 🎉

The mud is there because it's a depression that clings. He's clubbing, drinking and whatnot to escape realities of life. But like mud, you'll never really escape life. In the behind the scenes, he said the way the crowd is blurred and the heat vision is how to interpret how you see everyone when intoxicated. Also, the exit sign is always bright in the back ( there is always an exit if you chose it)

♦Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even samples excerpts from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe it could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as well as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe that was what all the dirty grimyness also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.

Slight correction, the speaking voices at the start and end are inspired by Like Crazy but they are not directly from the movie. They were recorded by two vocal artists from the US and they improv'd the lines.

Also to add, I noticed that between Jimin & Yoongi (no 🚢 ing intended atm), them two used to over drink a lot of alcohol. And there's little ones that talked the most about having a slight concerning Dinking problem. And I know that they all drink, like Hobie days in 'Daydream', but it wasnt Concerning or alarming.

Mud is on the floor in the kitchen, then mud is falling down the walls, then mud on his hand and boots at the end. I think it represents being stuck. Jimin said his album is about his feelings and thoughts during the pandemic, and he didn't realize he was depressed. He thought he was happy but realized he was supressing his feelings. He talked to the members about when they were in Las Vegas for their concert, and they recommended he channel thought feelings into his music. That's when he started his album. He said he was numbing his feelings with alcohol and escapism.

Yes, to all this. I think the "she" he is referring to is alcohol. You spin me up high, my emotions on ice, I'm outta my mind. It fits so well. The more I watch this the more I notice all the times where he appears lonely or sad in the club. I'm so impressed that he expressed this in music and I also hope he's moved past it. 💜

I have been waiting for your reaction! I have had this song on repeat since it dropped. Please check out the dance video that goes with it. The retro 80's sound is so refreshing, but as usual, this song has a deeper meaning. Written during Covid and at a time when Jimin lost himself a bit.

Yes, 80s child here and this definitely has that vibe. I was a teenager so no clubbing but I remember that synthesizer sound in everything. It was like anyone who could play one had a song. Except the metal bands, lol.

I don't know how old you guys are, I am sure you are way younger than me, but this DOES sound very eighties...like something I would have danced to at the local club while wearing my padded shoulder blazer over a striped tank top and parachute pants back in 1983!! I love it...and Jimin sounds sooo good!

This was about escapism - which is why he ends up back where he started…like waking from a dream “alone again”. That was mud on the ground and mud on his hand at the end - representing the toxicity in his life! Notice the girl who pulls him into the club - she had a muddy hand. Theory is SHE is him…a reflection of him. Having been in many 80s club bathrooms, I can tell you THAT was also an 80s bathroom! 😂 I have heavy nostalgia, every time I hear this song! Everything about it is 80s, right down to the pop synth, bejewelled jean jacket and pants and mullet! Love it!!!! Jimin is so talented!

Yep, having gone through the 80s being a fan of synth-pop (still a big Ultravox fan- they were my fave group till BTS came along ☺), I do love this song & its vibe, esp the instrumental break with the drum machine. And the intimate way he sings the verses, as well as how they sound musically, def reminds me of George Michael songs.

Not only was Jimin’s vocals, dancing, as well as stage presence, beyond amazing, but Jimin added some unexpected mind blowing adlibs, plus the background dancers were all equally amazing, as well as the camera work, just stunning, filming everything to perfection. I would also love for you to react to the actual live performance of ❣Jimin “Like Crazy”, preferably from KBS music bank, where you can actually hear Jimin’s real time amazingly beautiful vocals, his dancing, along with backup dancers, in front of audience where you can even hear those amazing, spine-chilling fanchants!

If you notice the hand that pulls him into the club scene is also covered in dried mud. The hand belongs to the woman with long black who briefly comes into focus around the middle of the song before she and Jimin face off on the dance floor, then scene spins and cuts to the bathroom scene where Jimin is facing himself in the mirror. She IS him, or a reflection of him. She even looks like him. That's why his hand is muddy in the end. It's like by following 'her' lead and giving in to escapism, he can't escape being tainted by it even though he spends the music video trying to block it out (like when he's alone in the hall and mud starts seeping out of the walls).

Not them media playing reactors about that #1 on hot100 we all know its because 29 version while other members previous song getting only 1 version and still remember after all those many versions its still not predicted to got 1 but only top 5 until they release multiple versions again to push it on top

The 80s thing is real! I think of this song as what people in 1986 might have thought music would be like in 2023 😁 For me it hits all the nostalgia but still feels fresh and I love it. It makes me want to dance. Watching you two bopping in unison also makes me want to dance 😂
