"hyung" is an honorific just like the word "oppa" and it does not necessarily mean "brother". you know that korean women call older men "oppa" whether its their brother or boyfriend. so it's the same way how jimin called yoongi since men call older men "hyung". theres no such a thing as "jimin is trying to protect their relationship" because its just the way he should call him regardless of their relationship

@4ever Yoongi yeah you can clearly hear him saying hyung. and i never said it was a mistranslation. as i said, men call elderly men "hyung" in korea, and "brother" seem the close one for editors to translate. but it does not literally mean "brother" because if they are dating jimin would still call him "hyung". in korea calling elderly peoples name without adding honorifics is considered disrespectful. jimin sometimes does it playfully, or when hes flirty with him tho (it says a lot about their level of comfortability with each other 🤭) but thats whole another conversation since it was a public interview

Hyung doesn't mean brother.... It's just word/honorific you use to call older males ..... Girls call their own brother oppa....and call their older boyfriend oppa....can call a stranger who is older than her oppa....hyung is the male version of oppa... Korean language is confusing because of respect is something important to tjeir culture....there are different level of honorifics you can use to call others

I think there is already understanding or kind of code between Yoonmin so not to hurt each other feelings.They have to protect their relationship..and each other.

Hyung is an honorific used by a younger male to address an older male regardless of their relationship. It doesn't have a literal English translation, and it doesn't mean brother.

Yeah it's too obvious honey, JK doesn't have round head it's always Yoongi who is fluffy everytime (so cute) and Jimin is the smallest frame among the members so for us it's really easy to recognize those features. I'm happy it's Yoonmin, It's Yoonmin date. 🥰😭
