Can we take a minute to appreciate how genuinly loving Bocchis family is though. They put so much effort into making sure her friends had a good time cause they love their daughter and want her to have friends and a life. Makes me wanna happy cry for real.

Just wanna elaborate a little further Mendou means "trouble" and "kusai" means "stinks". So "mendokusai" means "reeks of trouble", often westernized as "what a pain/hassle" "Mendoi" is just a shortened, slang form of "mendokusai". "Kuso" literally means "shit" but using it as an adjective gives the object emphasis, typically in a negative connotation e.g. "kuso yaro"(damn you), "kuso atsui"(fuckin hot (weather)), "kuso mendoi"(shitty probem/pain in the ass)
