Honestly, not just a great guitarist, that's the sign that he's a good person.

I find it crazy that Jim is in one of the biggest metal bands in the world and yet he has absolutely no ego. Such a role model.

Jim Root is my favorite rockstar on this planet. He is such a humble, genuine and awesome guy. His stage presence is just out of this world. He's the reason I started to play guitar!

I fucking love Jim, you can see all this shit hasn’t changed him like it has with some other members, he is a amazing guitarist and great on stage, and he goes out of his way to be nice to his fans and show his appreciation, he replies to as many comments on his Instagram still, definitely a member you can’t replace

He’s really not awkward in conversation, he speaks so well.

Jim has always been my favorite member. Incredibly talented, humble enough to lay back and fit in his spot, but also incredibly smart and always has a very interesting take on the Slipknot anomaly throughout the years

No one hates jim. Jim is the best, nicest, chillest person ever

I went to a signing years ago (Subliminal Verses era) and met all of them and they were all friendly but Jim was like the 'gentleman', he would really thank each person for coming in that awesome voice. Comes across as a great guy :)

If you watch any of his videos when he's UNMASKED he is a genuine man. The fact that he says hes still learning how to play and doesnt feel like a HUGE rock star is just pure honesty. A real person being fuckn real.

Am i the only one that finds jim's mask and his personality so damn cool? i like slipknot but jim's mask just makes me like him better.

i love how humble Jim is, he just seems completely trustworthy regardless of the situation.

The sacrifices that bands and people like Jim make is absolutely huge like jim said he hardly spends time at home and that must be rough, these guys are the real heros! Their music gets us through our hardships as fans. So just a moment taken here to say thank you to Jim and all of slipknot for everything 🤘

Mr. Root is the best. we maggots are fortunate to have been able to hear his music and watch him perform. I want Slipknot to be around forever but for their sakes they have to stop at some point. much love and respect!

Each member that Slipknot has had, has shown to be very well spoken, open minded and smart. It´s incredible to listen to these men´s music and then to listen to them speak. They are real artists. It´s not about metal, it´s about music at this point. They are one of those bands that have kept their voice loud and clear about their ideas on the world and music. Edit: Unprofessional? nah, showing love for the band that you are interviewing is never a bad thing.

I've been in the industry for my whole life and Jim is easily one of the nicest pros I've ever met. I hung out with him in LA for less than 10 minutes one day after he finished a meet and greet with 100+ people. We talked about our love of Jazzmaster guitars. I ran into him the next day and he smiled really big and called me by name. I was floored that he remembered me, let alone my name.

I really liked listening and watching this interview, it's awesome how down to earth jim is even tho he's part of a huge genre of music...i like how he laughs and is very personable instead of being self absorbed and rude
