Some of the best country gospels were sang by Jim reeves. What a voice !! Took me some time to realize this was a song as if Jesus is singing to us.. as he waits at the door to our lives and hearts. He is always knocking . It’s up to us to invite him in and or walk through

I was only 3 when this came out and I remember loving it as well as He'll have to go. My mama broke me in on country music and I love the classics to this day.

The tragic and untimely passing of Jim Reeves left a big void in the world of music. He is not easily forgotten and we are the less without him. This great song befits our memories of him and his wonderful voice.

I cut teeth listening to Jim Reeves on my dad RCA record player. Gentleman Jim was the premier male singer of any era / genre. RIP Jim, and Thank you for all the treasures you left us.

If anyone had any doubt about this man's ability to sing---performing on TV with a very limited time frame and subpar musicians compared to what he dealt with in Nashville..... this proves it. Jim Reeves took control of the song and made the very best of it. A great song, lyric, and a great performance elevated by Jim Reeves. We are all better off to have heard Jim Reeves sing. This is a worldwide sentiment!

For a man with such a graceful voice and elegant demeanor, his gait when walking on the stage looks like some clodhopper neanderthal with too long arms and too short pants. Oh well, I like him a great deal anyway.
