Had to come back and watch it again when I heard the news. It’s gonna be a long time before there’s another traditional 3 finger picker that can match Jim’s style/technique. RIP, you absolute legend. Them angels probably ain’t ever tapped their feet as much as they have been the last couple days

Me too. I had the privilege of going to a banjo seminar at his home a few years ago, and he is one of the nicest persons you'd ever want to meet. Very humble and gracious; he even let us pick on some of his unbelievable assortment of pre-war Gibson banjos. Unforgettable experience.

You can see Jim's face change when he realizes he missed the other little little d-tuner lick in the second break. I don't think it was intentional that he put it in the 3rd break. Obviously doesn't matter, phenomenal player and I just think it's cool to see him work through a mistake

Gary Johnson Finally someone else but me realizes the older style of wearing the strap on the right shoulder! Like Earl, JD, and Sonny used to do before it got hard to keep it on so they all eventually switched to the left shoulder! NOT JIM ! What a banjo player!

Я извиняюсь что своим вопросом могу задеть высоко патриотические чувства Американцев. Нет мелодия классная за водная и по-моему уже имеет свою историю возможно даже относится к классике. Но прошу прощения за незнание названия Банджо по-моему называется. А вот этот инструмент он создан и способен выдавать только одну мелодию или есть еще музыка с её участием

Agreed; RLR has the 2nd string move up to C to make D7, whereas with Flint Hill Special the 2nd moves down to A...both good tunes.
