I wonder who's more popular among wrestling fans 🤔 Hogan or Taker. It seems Taker is well respected, even though there was an attempt to cancel him. He was a big part of tv in early 90s, late 90s, 00s, and 2010s. Maybe he deserves his own show.

Hogan is more recognizable on a mainstream level worldwide than Taker, and at his peak was more over than Taker ever was, but his popularity has waned massively the past 20 years, mostly thanks to his own actions. Meanwhile just about any wrestler or wrestling fan respects Taker. Can't say that about Hulk Hogan in 2022. Hulk is extremely polarizing these days.

Taker deserves his own ceremony for the HOF. So much respect for him especially after what he has gone through with injuries.

Kane or Mick inducting him would be nice to see imo. hell even Bret Hart might be considered cause taker has always had insane respect for him.

All 3 were tremendously important to takers career. Mankind was probably the best rivalry, Kane was the best story. taker has already acknowledged that Bret hart is the 1st guy who let him show he could wrestle, instead of just be a big guy.

Kane is most likely due to being very well spoken and their history together, but if it's about who's most important to Taker besides Vince and is suitable, it remains a mystery. At any rate, it could be the biggest HOF induction of all time unless it was Hogan's.

Undertaker is my all time favorite wrestler so this is a huge deal to me. The day I became a real wrestling fan was the day Undertaker put the Ultimate Warrior in a casket back in the summer of 91 when I was 7 and I have followed Taker's career ever since. The person who will induct Taker is very important and a huge deal especially considering all of the superstars Undertaker has dealt with over the years. There's no doubt it would have been Paul Bearer inducting Taker but I think there's only a handful of superstars or celebrities who could do the honors now and Vince is at the top of my list. Vince created the character and gave Taker the opportunity to run with it and he believed in Mark when no one else did. Here's my Top Picks in order and why they should induct the Undertaker: 1. Vince McMahon-creater of the gimmick, owner of the company, father figure to the Deadman. 2. Mick Foley-One of his biggest on screen rivals and helped take the Undertaker character to new heights. 3. Bruce Pritchard-Fellow Texan, close friend, and original manager. 4. Kane-Kayfabe brother, former tag team partner, and close friend. 5. Shawn Michaels-never close friends until later in life but their careers followed each other until Michaels retired at the hands of the Deadman in 2010. 6. Triple H-Fierce rival but a close friend. Triple H has always held Taker in high regard. 7. Godfather-Best friend and original BSK member. 8. Roman Reigns-The only current superstar besides Lesnar who has a history with the Deadman. Lesnar is not a great talker and hates crowds so if they want someone current it will be Roman. 9. Michelle McCool- Usually a superstar doesn't have his wife do the honors but his wife is a famous wrestler herself and knows Taker better than anyone. 10. Jake Roberts-His first on screen friend and gave Taker the rub that turned him into a beloved baby-face.

Foley does make sense. Not on the outs with Vince. Kane/Genn sure, obvious choice. Godfather I would think high on the list as well. I agree with the list.

I’m very happy to see my all time favorite finally enter into the HOF, and happy that his last two performances were two of the best matches of his last run. He’s got another 30 years of shoot interviews and appearances if he wants it and the fans will be happy.

I love how they paired Metallica & The Undertaker again. I’ll be honest, I got goosebumps watching it & thinking about everything he’s done the last 30+ years!

Cornette is such a rapid-fire, intellectual juggernaut. And hilarious. This is the perfect platform for him. I love this show!

I do hope Vince inducts him. He respects and loves Taker enough to forget all his McMahonisms and do the honors for a loyal friend.

Undertaker is the reason why I even got interested in wrestling in the first place. The first segment I ever saw was when Undertaker kidnapped then Smackdown GM Teddy Long in the limo, which at the time was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen cuz I was on the floor laughing. It seemed to me as if everything Undertaker did was so much cooler than what anyone else did, especially the storylines he was in with Kane. Sure he may not have been the caliber of a top guy like Stone Cold steve austin or the type of great wrestlers like say Shawn Michaels or Bret Hart, but he DID however have a career that not only spanned longer than anyone from his era but also left a mark on the business that anyone else for the rest of time could only dream about

Now Undertaker can join such wrestling legends as Drew Carey and Pete Rose.

I’m glad so many other people are saying the same thing I’ve been saying for years. That he should be the only person inducted into his class. Andre was the first inductee into the HOF and at that time, he was the only inductee. If there was ever anyone else who was in a “class by himself”, it’s Taker. #HOF2022

I think an honorable mention would be Million Dollar Man since he introduced the UNDERTAKER at Survivor Series

The whole HOF 2022 should be Undertaker. No matter what anyone says Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan whoever you call the greatest but you can't deny the fact that Undertaker is the greatest gimmick in the history of wrestling. There never will be in the history of the business anyone like the Undertaker. I know Jim says Vince wouldn't do it but to be honest I think this is the one time that Vince would do the HOF induction after all he created the Undertaker gimmick and Mark Calaway ran with it for over 30 years.

First an last. Cuz those other people you keep mentioning ran off when the didnt get what they wanted. The undertaker put wwe/wwf first for 30 years, even before his own life. He lived that gimic for the wwe an vince. He stuck by vince no mater what, wether he had injuries an broken bones, in the high times an when the ship was almost sunk, it didnt mater he stayed loyal to vince for 30 long years like no one else. Your legends were legends on tv screens but taker became a legend on the screen an behind the screen so much so that he became the very conscious of wwf/wwe the very measuring stick that they were all measured against

I'm sure this was already planned ahead since its in Texas when Taker resides in. I hope they let more than one person induct him instead of one person and have each talk about him for like 5 mins and let Taker talk for 10 mins. Hopefully, we get some big names inducted as well.

What about the Godfather to induct Taker . I Think Glenn would be a good pick . But who knows with the Top Brass . I just hope it isn't someone that doesn't have anything to do with him like Jim said they did to certain other Inductees. Love the videos BTW guys . Keep up the Great work

I think they extended the offer to Mark to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and in the past, he turned it down. Jim Ross did mention it in an episode of Legends of Wrestling that he sent Mark an invitation to the HoF and didn't get a reply yet. This was in the late 2000s.

Nobody deserves to be in the hall of fame more than The Undertaker. You knew Vince was gonna get his name on the marquee at one more major event one last time. Hell, The Undertaker deserves his own wing! He should be the only induction this year, just like Andre They Giant was in 1993.

Teddy Long is another one who can induct him. He was his manager back in WCW when he was going as (Mean Mark) I think? And obviously they worked a lot together in Smackdown golden era.

I knew immediately when Undertaker was going into the Hall of Fame, there was no doubt in my mind, Vince McMahon would be the one to induct him.

Regarding, "who should induct The Undertaker?" I'd be amazed if it isn't Vince McMahon or Kane. To this day, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Donald Trump are the only people Vince ever inducted. I think he'd make an exception for The Undertaker. Kane and Undertaker are really close personal friends as well so that seems the obvious choice.

I imagine this was planned for a very long time especially considering it's happening in Taker's home town.

Kane was my first thought, Mick for the all time rivalry could be something. Dutch I would love to see.

I can see Vince doing it since he did induct Austin in 2009. I’ve seen people say it should be someone like Kane, Triple H, Austin, Shawn, or pretty much anyone who played a big role in Undertaker’s career as a rival or something else. Since they’re inducting Undertaker in Dallas cause it’s his hometown, that brings up the question of inducting Batista or Rock next year since they’ll be in Hollywood for Mania next year.

It should be Ted DiBiase because he’s the one that introduced us to the undertaker during survivor series. I was 13 at the time and I’ve been a Undertaker fan ever since.

THE UNDERTAKER Easily one of the most memorable professional wrestlers & characters in modern history. He was an integral part of the rise in popularity of Wrestling Entertainment. Paired with Paul Bearer (Percy Pringle III) it was a grand slam! That thing The Undertaker could do with his eyes on demand, wow… he took an unbelievable idea and made it believable. The Undertakers ring entrance was awesome & memorable on TV, but live it was really something to behold. Many of us grew up with The Undertaker who came on the scene in the late 80’s and had one of the longest lasting careers in the history of sports entertainment, Three Decades…Pretty amazing, it’s great to see him taking his rightful place amongst other wrestlers who’ve also made invaluable contributions to the industry…

You'd hope Taker's induction would be two hours by itself with the career the man has had if he was the only inductee this year. He's easily got to have the longest at about 45-60 minutes and maybe they could have multiple people influential to his career talk about it if he doesn't want to talk for very long, people like Brother Love, Kane, Mick Foley and maybe even Austin could have some time each to tell some stories. Might seem like a lot of work but Undertaker has been the constant character and respected performer for the WWE for 30 years, this has to be special.

I was the same way as a kid. While everyone else was into Hogan, I liked Undertaker and Jake the Snake

Some obvious people who can induct: Kane, Dibiase, Brother Love. I do agree that Taker could ask for any induction and he may just get away with it

I hope he gets a proper sendoff ceremony. That crowdless Survivor Series event was NOT the way a career like Undertaker's should close. The man became synonymous with WrestleMania, he deserves to stand in front of a full Mania crowd chanting "Thank you, Taker"

WWE will always have their face of the company whether they're an Austin or a Cena, but they will never ever get someone like The Undertaker again. Ole Anderson and Jim Herd should do the honors. Undertaker may never have existed in the WWF/WWE if not for those two.

Really hope he is the only one inducted this year. He deserves to be the first since Andre to get that honour.

When they started talking about this, my first thought would that it would be Kane that inducted him.

Nobody deserves it more dont even watch anymore but I will be watching the deadman have his HOF moment. Sad that we won't get to see him kick ass anymore but hell he has given me so many memories and basically gave us every dream match he could. Who would have ever thought he would wrestle AJ at mania??he worked with everyone and win lose or draw they left that ring a star. Jeff in 2002 is a perfect example yes Jeff would have made it but that rub from taker was huge. Congratulations deadman for 25 years of greatness for me personally

I just hope that when they introduce the HOFers during Wrestlemania that Taker does his full entrance to the ring. Then send someone out to interrupt him so he can deliver one last tombstone.

Ted DiBiase has to do it just like he brought him out in 1990 "From the dark side I bring you The Undertaker"! and play the first theme!

If it's not Kane doing the inducting, then it should be Percy's sons doing the inducting.

Undertaker is well deserved but they are still missing the boat on so many well deserved people. Vader sid the steiner Brothers of course lex luger is one of the biggest that deserve the call and hasn't gotten it yet.

When Corny mentioned about Lawler wanting Lance Russell but got Shatner, it's similar to when Bret Hart got inducted in 2006, Benoit was supposed to induct Bret but instead WWE had Austin induct him & had Benoit & Mysterio induct Eddie Guerrero in

Fortunately for Bret, unlike for Lawler, Austin was a phenomenal choice to induct Bret and Shatner was a bad choice for Lawler

Vince did induct Austin though. I don't know, it could be Dutch Mantel or Jerry Lawler, if Vince doesn't do it. Or it could be the BSK. Or perhaps a number of people paying homage to him.

Kane, Mick Foley, and here's one that people don't think about Paul Heyman (he did manage him in WCW) or even better, Teddy Long.

They should have different versions of Undertaker being inducted by different persons. Persons who had the biggest story with the Undertaker in that particular persona. If not, I would like Vince doing the honours.

I can name a good few - 1) Bruce Pritchard/Brother Love since he was technically Taker's first manager 2) Ted DiBiase - the guy who actually brought Undertaker into the WWF 3) Glenn Jacobs 4) "Dirty" Dutch Mantell - they were in Memphis and in NWA/WCW as well 5) Paul Heyman - he managed Taker whilst in WCW as Mean Mark Callous 6) Teddy Long - he also managed Taker whilst in WCW with Spivey as The Skyscrapers 7) HBK - would make sense since he had more matches with Shawn than anyone else 8) Brock Lesnar 9) Bret Hart 10) Terry Funk (IF Terry is well enough)

If anyone who is deserving of a Hall of Fame induction it's the Undertaker. It is the best gimmick in wrestling and Undertaker had been a constant of WWE for three decades.

You could hear the smile on Jim's face when he said Taker is resting in the hall of fame. Jim has a ton of respect for Taker.

The guy that inducts Taker will probably be one of his BSK guys. Probably Godfather.

i think taker should be the only inductee this year. give him the full hour to himself and let him tell stories. his career was that special and his longevity we will never see anything like it again. let him have the whole show to himself..

WWE should have some kind of WWE exclusive "vanguard" or "icon" HOF... For people like Taker and then they could drag this out adding guys slowly over years and make it some real deal shit though. Honestly I think UFC fighters & WWE’s wrestlers are on a similar pay scale. I’ve heard comparisons made a lot over the past couple of years whenever a light is shined on the amount of money a fighter makes by the fighter themselves. One of the Paul brothers mentions it anytime Dana White criticizes him
