I don’t know when the Ressurection will be released, but I’ll be looking forward to it! I finally saw The Passion; I didn’t see it when it first came out because I was far too young. But I don’t understand the hate that the film gets: it was remarkably well done.

@@jonharrison9222in the original story Jesus goes to hell to visit the inhabitants of the underworld..so if there are talking two movies we are probably looking at some Lord of the Rings style trek into dark places culminating in some empire strikes back style cliffhanger… so, yeah.. I think they’ll have enough content. That being said, you couldn’t pay me enough to watch any of the movies in this series.

Second coming of Jesus Christ is very very near and because now most of the people of the earth are used to Netflix, Amazon prime, internet technologies. This movie which Mel Gibson has made , many people will come to Jesus Christ and accept him as the Lord and saviour. Could be a great trilogy! The Passion - Resurrection - Ascension/the coming of The Holy Spirit? Even and MUCH better than the series “A.D. The Bible continues”…

Now it's the best time to do it. The writers and actors strike doesnt apply to independent films made outside of the US. There's hype from Sound of Freedom. Mel is doing better than ever. It's the perfect time to film. My only doubt is theater chains choosing not to show it. They showed sound of freedom, but turned off the AC, screwed with everything, etc. Oh well, they hated Him back then, and still do.

This will be another blockbuster movie since POTC 1.. man, i can't wait to watched it in cinemas.

Jim really portrayed the best Jesus imho...and to be honest he does age graciously ( he doesnt look that old) I think he was in his mid 30s when he played as Jesus back in 2004, now it has been 20 years on, I am glad he is still alive and well.

Mel needs to stop making and acting in secular films and focus on The Resurrection now. Another Easter is passing by with no film.

Jim is like (dude keeps pushing it) lol. They are both great! Did tons of projects together.

There is a reason for the delay of this film. There is a lot of resistance from the enemy, but it’s all in God’s timetable and not Mel’s are man’s timetable. But God’s timing is always perfect and is never late. Just ask Lazarus 🙏🏽✝️

I respect the creative process takes time, and Mel has had to scrape up his own financing. But it’s been 20 years Mel. Jim Caviezel is probably a grandfather by now and at this rate we are going to have the second coming of the real Jesus Christ before you finish this movie.

I want an epic film about Jesus that will intrigue very young people.

What I keep wondering is are they going to digitally remaster Jim's face so Jesus doesn't look 20 years older coming out of the grave?

So the movie will be about how Jesus went down and did battles in hell during the 3 days he was deas, which will be epic to see. Wonder what Mel Gibson thinks hell looks like lol. The bible barely talks about those 3 days, so the entire movie will be literally 100% originally imagined, but Mel never disappointed with his films, especially hacksaw ridge, patriot, passion, and Braveheart. And for Jim to say it will be the biggest film in history, that's a big statement coming from a well reputated and liked actor. Definitely will go see this un theaters. Although since the the whole story is based on those 3 days, i don't know how he can't just fit it all in 1 movie instead of 2 but hey no complaints, now we will have TWO "biggest films in history" 😅

I'm lds myself and have seen the original passion film. Mel is actually going to use Icon and Samuel Goldwyn Films to distibute the sequel, according to the imdb page. I have my own lds beliefs in Christ and it's ok if you don't believe in them. But the same film company that worked on the first passion film is doing the same for the sequel, from what I know. Praying for it every day.
