Yeah he was under control and made some great passes. I still don’t really like the roster construction and this team is not even close to a Tournament team but it’s some progress I guess.

Every timeout we took led to a bucket and a run by the offense. Momentum matters and Coach did a nice job using timeouts to change the momentum. Good use of Torrance tonight giving both Mintz and Girard breaks when they were having a few issues. Torrance and Taylor played very well off the bench.

Often a victory depends on the match up and the opposition strategy. BC didn’t press and couldn’t stop Edwards. The refs were also having a good day keeping balance of calls unlike the UNC game.

We are very close this year we lost 4-5 games by 5 points or less a loss to Colgate and there was another loss early that we should always win if we 3-4 of those close games best Colgate we are like 17-6 and probably are ranked for as fickle are people are in Syracuse we really are not that far away the whole Benny thing is baffling to me if you talk to people around the program he by far the best player on the team in practice why is don’t transfer is in my opinion he afraid to make one mistake and get taken right out the game I’d love if coach told Benny no matter what happens you are not coming out unless you foul out just for one game to see what would happen I’d guess 20 n 10but all in all let’s have a winning record over and in conference and go win the NIT

Recently I've noticed a trend, It's seems like the ACC is losing talent across the board...I can't remember when UNC, Duke, and a few others were not in the top 25...Last year had similar results...This should concern a lot of teams, Because schools that are traditionally football schools are now gaining those recruits..Auburn, Alabama..just to name a few..I just don't see the ACC surviving especially if a few schools depart for other conferences in the near future, Demographically speaking, We are in trouble folks...

  • @tcollier8

ACC is now one of the lower leagues in NCAA college basketball ranked 6th currently behind Pac 12, Big East, SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12. There is alot more parity with the talent now across the board due to the portal and players being paid, but I really dont see anyone dominate team. Seems like a top ten team gets beat weekly now. SU has Duke and Clemson coming up I think both of these games SU could upset one of these teams. If I had to pick I say it would be Duke at home since Clemson is away but if they won both of them I wouldnt be surprised. SU wont make the Dance but I think they could do some damage in the NIT tourney as they are improving.

Despite 3 bad games out of 13 in league play, Joe is 2nd in the ACC in both scoring average and total points in league games, just 5 points behind NC State's Smith. He's 4th in 3 pointers made, 5th in percentage. He's 2nd in total number of buckets made behind Burns of NC State, who shoots zero threes. Shooting over 85% from the foul line. Today's line- 18 pts on 13 shot attempts , 6 rebs, 4 assists, 9 for 9 from the line. A steal that led to a bucket. More than made up for shooting 1-6 from 3 instead of his usual 3-8 average per game. His impact on the game includes always having a defender shading towards him or face guarding him, leaving more space for his team mates. Very happy to see him bounce back after 2 games where he struggled last week. Before those 2 clunkers, he was averaging 21 pts per game in the previous 8 games since Christmas, shooting 42.4% from three. Keep chucking Joe!
