hi there.it is very satisfying to watch all your youtube movies something is cool to feel with and it gives a kind of knowledge and inspiration to many.I wonder if you would like to make a face driver for lathe, please. The idea behind this is to be able to turn long shafts Machining with large tools can also be carried out from the face driver side; the center point and the driving pins can be replaced without having to remove other face driver components.

Nice, confident work. Deep cuts indeed. By the way what's the oil that's used. So dense and magnetic.

hi, your are using amazing self made cutters. At 7.56min: which material is this? And I see that you are also use inserts. Can you say which inserts you are using for which materials? I am a goldsmith and are stunned by the surface quality you can achieve :-). How can you be contacted?

hello, i read your question about the yellow material and try to give an opinion since you didn't get a reply... although it would appear to be brass, it is likely to be a Bronze alloy C903 or C906 which is made of Lead - Tin - Copper, the shavings look different than brass shavings, and brass generally doesn't need lubrication when cutting. He does nice work.

ご視聴いただきありがとうございます。 切削条件が合えば鏡面のように金属光沢がある面に削れますが、総形バイトなどを使わなければ旋削面は加工跡が見受けられるものだと思います。

素人目からしても金属を削る金属ってことで削る側は相当硬いと思うんですけど削られる側とでどんくらい硬さに差ってあるんでしょうか、

ご視聴いただきありがとうございます。 ビッカース硬さ（HV）という硬い物を押し付けた時に生じるくぼみの大きさで物体の硬さを数値化する方法で比較しますと、 金色の金属（快削真鍮）約80 銀色の金属（快削鋼）　約113 黄色い四角の刃（セラミックスコーティング超硬合金）約2000 黒い三角の刃（サーメット）約1650 銀色の各種刃物（高速度鋼） 700〰800 単純に値としては9〰20倍ほど削る側が硬いです。 身近な物で比較しますと、 乾燥状態の人の爪　約18 100円均一のステンレス包丁(SUS430)　約183 切れ刃の角度や切削熱での刃物の軟化を考慮しなければ被削物と刃物の硬さはこれほど違うことになります。

一番最初に加工している軸を作る際、太い素材から削って細くするのは何か理由があるのでしょうか？ 素人考えだと、軸の完成後を見ると最初から細い素材を使えそうな気がしまして...
