Another method is to use tender banana leaf. Sprinkle some water on a piece of banana leaf and shape the vada on it. Slant the leaf slowly and the vada will slip into the oil.

Add ginger while grinding , to overcome acidity, gas issues. Plus nice aroma.Try with conconut chutney for the best combo.

Apratim. Zaara technique is commendable.Tip - if possible add a small ball of imli in hot oil before frying Wadas , this will reduce the absorption of oil.Thanks for sharing wonderful recipies and techniques

@@taranumfathima4169 *~Hi Fathima, Vigna mungo, the black gram, urad bean, minapa pappu, mungo bean or black matpebean (māṣa) is a bean grown in the South Asia*~ Recipe:- soak urad daal or Black gram over night, next morning, make a paste using less water, then mix spices of your choice, like salt, chopped onions, coriander, black pepper and mix everything with hands until the dough gets lighter, to check out a spoonful of the dough and drop in a bowl of cold water, if the ball of dough floating that means the dough is ready to fry, I hope you find this useful!!
