JT88 vs Super Pershing and KV5.... like a time warp back to 2013

Clearly needs a Pen buff on both ammo types.

The Jg8.8 was my first premium tank. I bought it for my birthday in 2013. He was really good back then! I rarely play it anymore. But when I do, I really enjoy it. And I get an “M” more often. I have the big brother too.

Power creeped into irrelevance. Sad, this thing made me so much credits in the past. But this is WG, they got my money so FU.

Upside of the power creep is that one day even the BZ won't be OP anymore, just like how defender and type 59 used to be OP but aren't anymore. It's WG's way of fixing their prem mistakes without nerfs

​@@toby1248 Type 59 was actually nerfed, it was originally basically a downtiered T-54. The nerfing caused a massive shitstorm as many players paid for it bacause it was op, and since then they have not really nerfed any premiums

This tank is like many of the pref mm tanks. Almost op when top tier with lots of lower tiers to farm but average or poor when not.

you are funny, OP? old premium tanks were made worst than their non premium counterpart. all orginal premium tanks had 175mm penetration, usually the 122mm gun. the exception was FCM50T, where it got a 212pen 90mm gun, later the same gun was also given to the AMX CDC. JT8.8 was a later addition, fitted with the long 88 with only some 200mm penetration. which has been buffed to 212 pen to compensate the new OP tanks. from the very start none of the premium tanks were OP, with the exception of maybe the type 59 when it first came, probably like 2012 then it got removed from store for the first time. back then you dont even get to fire premium shell for silver. the JT 8.8 is obsolete, the game requires a combination of fire power, mobility, armor/camo. you need all of them to be OP, like the leopard 1. this thing kind of have 2, but not really, good DPM with so so pen but low alpha, poor mobility with ok armor.

@@roller1815 It's a game mode like Arcade. Instead of shells you shoot snowballs but your engine power is 100% higher. Normally the matches are super fast, due to players sliding in ice everywhere across the map. Damage comes from the shells that are snowballs now, basically HE shells with more alpha and a bit less pen than standard ammo but reload time is also increased. It's worthy to run credit boosters in those 2-3 minute matches and just pick something else when you die. They don't count for your wr and you can have some fun derping snowballs at your opponents hiding behind rocks. Jagdtiger 88 already shoots fast so imagine this TD with -25% reload time and 100% more engine power and top speed

This tank would be better as a tier 7 these days, like King Tiger C. Slow the tank down a bit with terrain resistance and nerf the DPM, and it can play just fine

240 alpha with mediocre penetration. It's just not enough when you are constantly meeting tier 9 tanks. You could buy the prototype and at least that one has the Skorpion G gun with 490 alpha and way more pen.

@@d33pdarkfantasy17 We already have the Turtle pretty much at that level of DPM. This tank could actually be packing 280 and become something like the E-50 with the 88 mm gun and I would be happy with it, the penetration is bad and the platform isn't great either vs equal or higher tiers.

I have made sooooo many credits with this beast.

Even with the AP buff from 203mm to 212mm the gun is still just a needle. I would give it the 280dmg of the Tiger I. Or at least buff the APCR for 20mm.

I think, wg simply could buff its alpha demage from 240 to 280 (as on Tiger I gun) and it would be playable again... Not game chabging or super duper hyper turbo influential, but playable with close to 4k dpm 🤔😅

This tank was OP until they nerfed it several years ago. They took away the armor and made it more mobile. You take it into a tier 6 battle and good luck penetrating it before that nerf.

JT88 is garbage. It's only good at making money, whenever medium tank penetration can work at long distances. It needs a serious penetration buff at the very least, and +150HP wouldn't hurt either.

Good old tanks from 12 years ago. No use for it now.

you rush in trying to safe the arty and you know what? it took the kindly given opportunity and drowned himself. that is why i dont play this game anymore and only watch occasionally when i dont know what else to do with my time. hands down the most frustrating game i ever came across. i mean i do have 60% winrate but even in a win i would wish i could punch my teammates in the face. "war doesnt teach us to love our foes but to hate our allies." SC2 is like Zen compared to this ....

Jag prototype is just better version of this tank, so there is no point of playing this one besides getting MoE. Nor funny, nor great tank. I would have more fun in Ferdinand.

@@thymethome6755 maybe it is very subjective in your case and only if you really like getting triggered. No offense though. Tell you one thing: back in the time of pre-changed referral program people(here on chinese server) used to run a lot of level VI bots, kind of stupid ones which were only going one after another along the preset line, so as there were many of them and most used same bot software, you could kill the first in the line and all the rest got stuck, getting easy targets, just sitting still. I played arty at that time, SU-8 or smth like that, so I preaimed well, long long time, and shoot one particular bot continuosly as my other team mates just couldn't get him because of terrain. I shoot him 5 or 6 times, aiming at the same point, he didn't move, I didn't move the gun...anything, only got him 1 time. Other times it was flying over him or just falling in front of him. For me it became an eye-opening demonstartion of how unfair the said RNG is in this game really is - random it is my a$$. And I think I don't need to tell you that immediately after one good game (Win, Master class, many kills, credits) you will get a shitty one, just because you should suffer once in a while because WG said so!

This thing belongs to the past, just as this game!
