JFK Assassination 50th Anniversary Media Open House - Eyewitness Panel

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza presented a panel discussion for media attending the JFK Assassination 50th Anniversary Media Open House on November 20, 2013, featuring assassination eyewitnesses. Panelists included: W.E. "Gene" Barnett, the closest Dallas police officer to the Texas School Book Depository entrance at the time of the assassination; Rickey Chism, who was with his family in Dealey Plaza and whose parents were later interviewed at length by the Dallas County Sheriff's Department; Eugene Boone, the Dallas deputy sheriff who discovered the rifle on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository; Dr. Ronald C. Jones, chief surgery resident in Parkland Memorial Hospital's emergency room on November 22, 1963; and Bob Jackson, a photographer with the Dallas Times Herald who was in the motorcade and saw a rifle in the sixth floor window of the Texas School Book Depository building. The program was moderated by Museum associate curator Stephen Fagin.

Fantastic stuff...just wish that some of the guest could have each had two hours instead of only one hour for all of them. It is too historically important to limit it to just one hour. Of course I would suppose that those guests had been interviewed before somewhere else. This was fascinating.

What?...you are confused...but I do not understand why Dr. Jones insisted here, that JFK's head wound was in the back of the head...it clearly was on the right side of his head, a wound of 5" in length, and perhaps 3" in diameter, situated above his right ear, extending forward towards the temple, but also a little ways back beyond the ear...the wound area was clearly an exit wound, and most of his hair and bone was missing in that area....several people have said that there was much brain missing in that wound area. The third shot hit JFK above, and to the right of the cowlick area. The Parkland doctors did not flip the body over during their efforts, and most of the doctors did not get a good look at the back of the head...Dr. Carrico admitted a few years later, that he was wrong when he wrote a summary note concerning JFKs wounds that day...as were several other Parkland doctors. All of the official X-rays and autopsy photos verify the location of his wounds...the two autopsy doctors saw the photos a couple of years after they performed the autopsy--they agreed with the official photos....there should be no controversy about this issue...but the Parkland doctors speculated a little too much about what they might have seen...and they regretted their speculations.

Imagine a black family not wanting to come forward out of fear! This entire black family was taken to Dallas Police Station and held illegally for 12 hours ( without reason) in Jim Crow South! It is small wonder why the 3 year old had nightmares throughout his early childhood. God only knows what this family went through at the Dallas Police Station during those twelve hours. The family members were afraid to answer the phone and no one would talk about their experience until several years later.

Racism aside.....there were several other folks in the immediate area of the shooting, that ran off, and have NEVER come forward...I think the fear of being tracked down by the assassins is responsible for such seemingly irresponsible behavior..the most important comment by that black person, was his informing us of his mother seeing the first shot cause sparks in the street...there has been much speculation as to what happened to that first shot, when it was fired, why did LHO miss such a close by target, etc...we still do not know where the remnants of that first bullet landed, although there are a couple of photos showing Dallas police--and a dude in plainclothes, checking out an area further down the street, where a couple of witnesses thought a bullet had landed near a manhole cover....the plainclothes guy grabs something close by, and seemingly puts that something in his pocket!.....a very suspicious act, and the photos have never even been explained, and the man has never been identified...I believe the Warren Commission results, as well as the other, later investigations--but none of those have explained the situation with that first shot, or the deal with the manhole cover!

There was also a white man and his 5 year old in the back of a police car who had a mob screaming and pounding on the car for hours before being taken to the station. That was a traumatic day for everyone at dealey plaza. Everything is not about race. As far as his parents being afraid to talk, that too was common especially once witnesses that saw anything other than what they were supposed to started dieing.

Fay Chisholm is one of many people that heard and saw a shot hit the asphalt and a small spray up in the air from the bullet. This happened just prior to frame 133 of the Z film with the limo right under the traffic light. That makes the time frame to get all three shots off would have been around 9-10 seconds. There is a slight problem with some of the witnesses, as several insist that the 2nd and 3rd shots were quite close to each other...why Oswald would hurry that head shot is a mystery--but there was found a fourth bullet in the rifle, so maybe he was going to shoot one more time--but when he saw the results of that head shot, he realized he did not need to fire one more time...I guess we will never really know about the timing of those shots....but it is clear, all of the ballistics evidence proves that it was LHOs rifle and ammo that was used...and his actions after the evil deed is heavy circumstantial evidence that he was guilty.

the wound to the back did not go out the neck. If you look at the drawings of the Warren report the alleged bullet path hit the back of the neck. Not the back. Furthermore there are no ex rays showing a bullet hole or anything indicating a shot hit the neck from the back. The back wound shot hit 5.5 inches below the collar and 2 inches to the right. So if that shot came from the School Book Depository and exited JFK's body it would have came out his chest. Not his throat. In fact the back wound did not travel through his body cavity. It fell out. This is a white wash.

Please read the testimony of: Lt Richard Lipsey & Corpsman Paul O'Connor & funeral embalmer Thomas Robinson. Then remember that: 1) Someone impersonated Secret Service agents around the Grassy Knoll. 2) Someone impersonated LHO in Mexico City in Oct 1963 Their testimony reveals that the night of the autopsy, Dr Humes believed the throat was an exit wound for the head shot that was just above the EOP. And based on that downward angle, assumed the back wound would go down into the president's chest. A metal probe was unsuccessful, and a finger probe hit a dead end after a couple of inches. Lipsey says that JFK was hit twice in the head...which explains why the HSCA, wanting only ONE head shot, moved the location to the higher spot, closer to the crown, about 4 inches higher than Humes had posted on his autopsy report to the WC. All 3 testify that the back of JFK's head was blown out. But that's not what the WC says.
