I was an undergraduate in 1999 and I saw the seeds of this way back then. A Muslim student wrote an opinion piece that was published in the school newspaper about how Israelis were guilty of cultural appropriation because they ate Middle Eastern food. But it seems to have gotten much much worse since then.

I finished my degree in the 2010s and took a few Middle Eastern history classes. The one class was virtual and we would have to post on message boards and comment on others who did the same. Even then there was enormous hatred for Jews and frankly I was shocked at how teachers didn't say a peep.

Breach of contract? When the University cashes a tuition check that is a contract. The students go to class and follow the rules, the University protects the students and providing the education. The University isn't upholding their end of the deal. Columbia U. got a D grade from the Campus Antisemitism Report Card, they were in litigation and under investigation over this before the current problems, and the president who said she'd fix the problem is nowhere to be seen. If the campus is private property call in the police to clear out the protestors. Anyone arrested who is here as a guest in this country, on a Visa. revoke the Visa, and deport them. Any student breaking the law, behaving violently, expel, not suspend, them. Don't allow masks on campus, and all camera footage taken on campus should be made public record so businesses know who not to hire. Donors should stop giving money(don't worry, the University can get more from Qatar). And Jewish parents stop sending your kids to Ivy League schools that get lower than a C on the antisemitic report card. There are fixes, you just have to implement them. Same goes for Harvard.......

Please don't use voting for a party for this. There are plenty of antisemitic people on the right. There is one leader running who is best for ALL people. He is independent. He is for peace and has proven for many years that he fights for the people. As far as other elected leaders, there are people on the right and left that are pro-Israel as well as people on the right and left who are not. We have so many issues to vote for. Criticism of Israel, Criticism of Zionism is not antisemitism. Palestine solidarity is not antisemitism. Israel could benefit from realizing they are doing to Palestinians what the holocaust did to them. Israel requires a "final solution" for Palestinians as the people they pretend never existed do exist. Creating a colonial settler state in the Middle East was at least as stupid as the movement to send blacks back to Africa, but here we are. What happened to the Jewish people of Europe was absolutely horrific. However, those people had not lived in the Middle East for a couple thousand years. If a Jewish state was to happen it would have made more sense to carve it out in Europe as that's where most of the settlers were from, not displacing the people of Palestine from their homes and land. They hadn't been involved in the holocaust. But displacing a bunch of Europeans was too problematic, and nobody else stepped up and volunteered to carve a Jewish settler state out of their country. Zionists had a lot less obstruction to colonizing Palestine as those people were(are) seen as less human than Europeans and with less human rights. There is no justification for what Israel has and is doing to the people they pretend never existed (a land without a people). Once you see it, you can't unsee. Israel is engaging in ethnic cleansing and genocide as colonial settlers have always done. Colonized people are fighting back as they always do. It's really no surprise that this hasn't worked out well for anyone, is it?
