Thank you for this tutorial! I have a pair of earrings that are designed just like this and I’ve been wanting to recreate them myself but couldn’t find a tutorial that matched the lay out exactly until this one!

Oooohhh! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your tutorial! I am 77 and have managed to do SIMPLE beading around a cabochon. I never thought I would work with seed beads. Then I wanted to make some SIMPLE fringe earrings because I have a tremor. When I found this tutorial on KZread and watched it, I was so happy because I know I will manage this design. Plus, I have some of those brass components. Thank you so much!

What type of thread would you recommend when using czech seed beads and still have movement in the fringe? I have read not to use nymo because of possible shredding the thread over time?

Hello! I have been using Nymo my entire career and have never had any problems. I LOVE our Nymo size B for flowy and durable fringe.

Beautiful earrings..❤😊What size needle are you using by the way? Because i know some needles are hard to go beads that seems to have tiny holes...Can you use collapsible eye needles to thread your beads using this method...? Just curious😊

I like using a size 12 needle. You could use a collapsible eye but the needle might be a little flimsy. But if you are used to using them it should be fine

Because thread has a grain, please remember to thread needle from end of spool

Interesting I've never heard that before. I've been using Nymo for a decade and can thread it anywhere no problem.

I want to try these but that “hitch knot” is messing me up. I can’t quite see how you pass “under the tassel”.

  • @capitalcitybeads

The needle just goes under the beads. Nothing fancy not in any bead holes just under the beads. The goal is to tie the knot between two beads.
