Billy - Jewel was HUGE in the 90s in the Folk/Alternative Scene. PLEASE give a reaction to her hits --- "Who will save your soul"..."Hands"..."Foolish Games"..."You were Meant for me".....she made videos for all of them. You will love it!
Jewel is so beautiful. And she has that same sweet breathy little girl's voice as Dolly. They both came up hard but look where they are. So outstanding both of them. Dolly is more country and Jewel is more folk. Awesome!
That was beautiful! I have never heard that song. It is especially poignant for me. My dad is declining, he’s 84. My parents have been married for 53 years. They have raised five kids, and two of their grandchildren, they have buried two children and a grandchild. My brother first, eighteen months later my sister and her baby. They are the finest people I know. Hard working, god-fearing, hard and strict, and yet gentle and kind. They taught me to love God, work hard, be honest, be kind, always be ready to help someone, be thankful for all you have, and praise God in good times and bad. The other song that reminds me of my father the most would be Holly Dunn’s “Daddy’s Hands.” I would love to see your reaction to that one.
I was a Daddy’s girl. The one thing I would suggest to any father is, on your daughters birthday and Valentines Day always and never forget, a card, (they can keep forever) a gift, flowers anything that shows how much you love them. My dad never forgot to make me feel special, as I got older and would be out of a relationship it meant the world to me. Now he gone and so is my mother , I don’t even celebrate my birthday really and Valentine’s Day, a thing of the past. But he never ever forgot, I will remember that till I see him again.
My Dad had such a big impact on my life. I was the last kid still living at home and I got to do things with him that my siblings never got to. After he was diagnosed with cancer, we took a cruise, knowing it was probably his last trip, and I got to share every sunrise with him on our deck by ourselves. We hardly spoke, but I will remember it for the rest of my life.
THANK YOU OUR BRAVE VETS..LOVE DOLLY
Another really good song from Jewel is Stronger Woman.
I was a Daddy’s girl. Don’t get me wrong; I loved my Momma with all my heart, but I was a Daddy’s girl. They both passed on their love for music, good work ethics, love for their family and most importantly- their love for God. What better legacy!! This is my first time watching your channel, and you’ve struck a chord!! Blessings!!
I am a foster parent, and 7 years ago I was blessed with a daughter...This made me cry.
Jewel and her family are the real deal, her grandfather and grandmother escaped Germany just before world war 2 and settled in Alaska, the videos are actual home movies of the family.
I thought you were spot-on about dads not getting enough credit or recognition. When my parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary I had a star named in their honor. I put my dad's name first and he was very surprised. He said his name hadn't been first on cards or letters since he married.
Her family has a show called Last Frontier on tv. Their pretty famous for living off the grid.
Hands by jewel is the best ones I've ever heard by her
It honestly makes me sad but also determined for my husband and I to do better than we were taught when we were growing up with the lack of healthy relationships with our parents.
Two unique voices.
You are such a lovely person to listen to. This is definitely a great song, and some of that footage was old family videos of Jewel and her family. Anyways, I am now subscribed to your channel. I can't wait to check out some of your other videos. You seem like a genuine man. Keep it up! Cheers!
That is Jewel. It is so funny, when you ask a question I answer it like you can hear me.🤣❤
Such a sweet bond
Jewels family is kinda famous to. It looks like she recorded the video on the families land. They have their own tv show dedicated to them. It’s called. Alaskans last frontier. Watch it with my grandma a lot. Good show too
You don't need to explain. I feel you. Thanks for being a positive example.
Yes that's her she's always been really pretty and I've always liked her ever since the first time I ever saw her sing anything I've never heard this one I don't know how old it is but it's a good one
Not sure how I missed this reaction, as I tried to catch all your Dolly reactions 😁Love it. Can't wait to hear you react to more Dolly. There's so much to chose from. If you feel like it, she has 2 great new songs in 2020: "I Believe" and "When Life Gets Good Again" - both Covid inspired...
Great song.
"it's for my dad" by Nancy Sinatra was what I danced to with my dad for wedding.
Wow.. Never knew this song existed Thank you!!
As a daddy’s girl, I am loving this song. Other songs that make me think of my dad are Reba McIntyre’s The Greatest Man I Never Knew and Holly Dunn’s Daddy’s Hands
This is a damn beautiful song
Jewel's song "Hands" is one of her best.
I love this song so much 🖤
Yes. That was Jewel as a little girl singing with her dad. And in case you didn’t know. Her family is the Kilchers of the reality show Alaska the Last Frontier. She sings the theme song with her daddy, Otz Kilcher. Jewels grandparents migrated to Alaska from Switzerland. Jewel is so pretty and easy to see she is a Swiss girl. She grew up in very hard life.
Fathers are so important to daughters !!! Daddy’s are even better !!! The way you react and the words you say tell me you are a daddy !!! 😁 Your eyes light up when you talk about your baby girl !!!
Yes, that was Jewel and her father, Atz Kilcher. (Ever - see the show Alaska: The Last Frontier? That family) Hard to imagine she grew up without indoor plumbing.
Me too brother
Jewel and Dolly, with real footage is such an impactful video. Knowing your daughter "respects and understands the values she was raised with" is the greatest thing a dad could ask for.
Her father is Atz Sr. one of the stars of the TV show " Alaska, The Last Frontier " on Discovery Channel !!! The story is about the Kilcher's !!! A second generation family in Alaska !!! I love this show !!!
That 2nd voice you hear is none other than Dolly Parton.
Jewel has been around for some time now. There is a TV show called Alaska the last frontier. It is about a family that homesteaded and Alaska. A true life family. Jewel is the daughter of one of the man that homesteaded and Alaska. It was a very difficult life for jewel as her mother left when she was very small because her mom didn't want anything to do with that lifestyle anymore period from what I understand it drove her dad to drink in which made things even that much more difficult. She does have a very close relationship with her father now and he did quit drinking. Jewel and her dad also saying the theme song for the show Alaska the last frontier.
I am proud to be my father's daughter. He was diagnosed with cancer when I was 13, fought gracefully and valiantly for five years, then went to his forever home. It's been 21 years now, and I still miss him literally every day. Billy, you give that daughter all the love and wisdom you can. Daddies and daughters have a very special bond, and I promise you, it is ETERNAL.
Hi there from canada, I just want you to know I am my father's daughter you have to know a daughter the first man she falls in love with is her father that's all I can say thank you and God bless
She's the daughter of one of the men on Alaska the Last Frontier.
Daddy’s Girl. By Red Sovine.
You know we girls are looking for a man with the positive attributes of our fathers. I respect your desire to be a positive roll model for your daughter. Billy the dad is cool 😎. Keep it up
Jewel and her dad wrote the theme song to the show Alaska the Last Frontier. Jewel was raised in Alaska you should check out that song
Check out the song Stronger Woman by Jewel. Another good one.
You need to do Kane Brown For My Daughter. It is an amazing song.
Jewel “Foolish Games”
Yes that is jewel and her father. He is Atz Kilcher , the reality tv show Alaska the last frontier. Everyone on the show is a brother sister mother father aunt uncle or cousin of Jewels.
Dolly Parton's voice is always the best. Thank you for speaking to the father/daughter connection. My father raised four daughters and two sons; he always called his daughters the sons he never had. One of my favorite parent to child songs right now is by Robbie Williams it's called Love My Life which is him finally getting to where he needed to be in life, but is messaging his kids. His first song, that reminded me of things my father said to us was Go Gentle; appropriate for a player turned dad. My father passed way too early, but Lee Ann Womack's I Hope You Dance is the forever message to every daughter! There's also Michael Bolton's Fathers and Daughters, but the best music for every daughter is the song their father sings to them or dances with them while playing. A standard for us was The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra as he took turns dancing with my mom, then each one of his girls. With my father gone and the hole forever there, I was gutted when I went to Phantom of the Opera the first time. I ended up sobbing when I heard Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again; it says everything about the daughter/father bond.
You so need to react to Tough Little Boys by Gary Allen.

Listen to "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunn.
You should react to “I loved her first” by Heartland and “stealing Cinderella” by Chuck Wicks :)
I like your perspective . Family !
Hey Billy, I just realized you haven't reacted to Montgomery Gentry yet. You should do That's Something to be Proud Of by them. Troy Gentry, he's the one that doesn't wear a hat in the duo was killed in a helicopter crash back in 2017. I think you'd really like this song.
We Alaskans are pretty proud of Jewel. We don't have many famous folks, and once our at one time normal Governor Sarah Palin went off the rails, our pickings got realllll slim lol so we cling to Jewel.
She is more country now
Love Jewels voice , You should react to Foolish Games.
I recommend "Cleaning This Gun" by Rodney Adkins. :) You'll love it. It's a fun song, less emotional.
Another great song is Baby Girl by Sugarland
Conway Twitty, “That’s My Job”!! It will get you in ur feels!
If you have a daughter, listen to “Butterfly Kisses”!
If you watched Coyote ugly you’ve heard jewel sing. Can’t stop the moonlight

I'm a mama nurse, on the front lines and been away from my loved ones for months. This song, this reaction.. Makes my soul full and hurt all at the same time. I miss my parents, who are in God's hands and my children and grandchildren. ❤️
Your doing the right thing bro. My 36 year old daughter passed away last February and I have no regrets is because I always showered her with hugs, kisses and told her how much I loved her. I sure do miss her!

Daddy's Little girl the shires
This song came out right around the time my father passed away at age 84 and, even listening to it now, by the second verse, without fail, I dissolve into tears. If you're lucky enough to still have your father still around, tell him you love him.
All those old videos on here is Jewel and her family.

You ought to check out JUST FISHIN by Trace Adkins. That will bring out Billy so emotional.
Your daughter is looking at you to see how you treat all women. She will then pick a man who treats her that way. I think you will do great. Call her every day right before she goes to sleep. She needs that daily touch.
There isn't such a saying as "...a daddy's boy" or "...a mommy's girl". We butt heads with the similar and all seem to seek love from our opposite. Then both parents freak when we do....LOL
Jewel is one of those celebrities i would have left my wife for.
I like that if she stop laughing she be fine
Watch her sing with Home Free during the Sing Off. You hear her other range and that red dress.....what was I saying?
Billy could you react to Billy Joel We Didn’t Start The Fire or The Downeaster Alexa. Those are two classics.

Why haven't you been reacting to ERB recently?
First comment, I have been following you're reactions for a couple weeks. Really enjoy you and your views. I think you should react to Mike and the Mechanics, Living Years. Its not as uplifting but I do find it inspirational
