Billy - Jewel was HUGE in the 90s in the Folk/Alternative Scene. PLEASE give a reaction to her hits --- "Who will save your soul"..."Hands"..."Foolish Games"..."You were Meant for me".....she made videos for all of them. You will love it!

Jewel is so beautiful. And she has that same sweet breathy little girl's voice as Dolly. They both came up hard but look where they are. So outstanding both of them. Dolly is more country and Jewel is more folk. Awesome!

That was beautiful! I have never heard that song. It is especially poignant for me. My dad is declining, he’s 84. My parents have been married for 53 years. They have raised five kids, and two of their grandchildren, they have buried two children and a grandchild. My brother first, eighteen months later my sister and her baby. They are the finest people I know. Hard working, god-fearing, hard and strict, and yet gentle and kind. They taught me to love God, work hard, be honest, be kind, always be ready to help someone, be thankful for all you have, and praise God in good times and bad. The other song that reminds me of my father the most would be Holly Dunn’s “Daddy’s Hands.” I would love to see your reaction to that one.

I was a Daddy’s girl. The one thing I would suggest to any father is, on your daughters birthday and Valentines Day always and never forget, a card, (they can keep forever) a gift, flowers anything that shows how much you love them. My dad never forgot to make me feel special, as I got older and would be out of a relationship it meant the world to me. Now he gone and so is my mother , I don’t even celebrate my birthday really and Valentine’s Day, a thing of the past. But he never ever forgot, I will remember that till I see him again.

My Dad had such a big impact on my life. I was the last kid still living at home and I got to do things with him that my siblings never got to. After he was diagnosed with cancer, we took a cruise, knowing it was probably his last trip, and I got to share every sunrise with him on our deck by ourselves. We hardly spoke, but I will remember it for the rest of my life.

I was a Daddy’s girl. Don’t get me wrong; I loved my Momma with all my heart, but I was a Daddy’s girl. They both passed on their love for music, good work ethics, love for their family and most importantly- their love for God. What better legacy!! This is my first time watching your channel, and you’ve struck a chord!! Blessings!!

I thought you were spot-on about dads not getting enough credit or recognition. When my parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary I had a star named in their honor. I put my dad's name first and he was very surprised. He said his name hadn't been first on cards or letters since he married.

Yes. That was Jewel as a little girl singing with her dad. And in case you didn’t know. Her family is the Kilchers of the reality show Alaska the Last Frontier. She sings the theme song with her daddy, Otz Kilcher. Jewels grandparents migrated to Alaska from Switzerland. Jewel is so pretty and easy to see she is a Swiss girl. She grew up in very hard life.

Jewel has been around for some time now. There is a TV show called Alaska the last frontier. It is about a family that homesteaded and Alaska. A true life family. Jewel is the daughter of one of the man that homesteaded and Alaska. It was a very difficult life for jewel as her mother left when she was very small because her mom didn't want anything to do with that lifestyle anymore period from what I understand it drove her dad to drink in which made things even that much more difficult. She does have a very close relationship with her father now and he did quit drinking. Jewel and her dad also saying the theme song for the show Alaska the last frontier.

I am proud to be my father's daughter. He was diagnosed with cancer when I was 13, fought gracefully and valiantly for five years, then went to his forever home. It's been 21 years now, and I still miss him literally every day. Billy, you give that daughter all the love and wisdom you can. Daddies and daughters have a very special bond, and I promise you, it is ETERNAL.

Dolly Parton's voice is always the best. Thank you for speaking to the father/daughter connection. My father raised four daughters and two sons; he always called his daughters the sons he never had. One of my favorite parent to child songs right now is by Robbie Williams it's called Love My Life which is him finally getting to where he needed to be in life, but is messaging his kids. His first song, that reminded me of things my father said to us was Go Gentle; appropriate for a player turned dad. My father passed way too early, but Lee Ann Womack's I Hope You Dance is the forever message to every daughter! There's also Michael Bolton's Fathers and Daughters, but the best music for every daughter is the song their father sings to them or dances with them while playing. A standard for us was The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra as he took turns dancing with my mom, then each one of his girls. With my father gone and the hole forever there, I was gutted when I went to Phantom of the Opera the first time. I ended up sobbing when I heard Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again; it says everything about the daughter/father bond.
